Borden-Kinkora is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Contents

The riding contains the rural southeastern portion of Prince County, running from the Wilmot River outside of Summerside in the west, and extends into neighbouring Queens County to encompass the Crapaud and Victoria areas. Borden-Carleton, at the northern end of the Confederation Bridge is the riding's largest community.

Jamie D. Fox is a Canadian politician, who served as interim leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Prince Edward Island and Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly from October 15, 2015 to October 20, 2017. Fox was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island in the 2015 provincial election. He represents the electoral district of Borden-Kinkora. In October 2017, James Alyward was elected as the Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of PEI after Fox serving for two years as the Interim Leader.

The 68th Prince Edward Island general election is the next general election to be held in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island (PEI), to elect the 68th General Assembly of Prince Edward Island. It is tentatively scheduled for the fixed election date of Monday, October 4, 2027, but may be held earlier under certain circumstances.

The 2024 Borden-Kinkora provincial by-election was originally scheduled for February 5, 2024. However, because of impending weather conditions, Elections PEI announced the election would be postponed until Tuesday, February 6, 2024, with the same voting locations in place. It was then postponed again to February 7. It was triggered by the resignation of Progressive Conservative Jamie Fox from the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island.

Matt MacFarlane is a Canadian politician. He has been a Green member of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island since winning the 2024 Borden-Kinkora provincial by-election. MacFarlane was the unsuccessful green candidate in Borden-Kinkora in 2019 and 2023. He is President of the Green Party and a lawyer by profession.
