Buckeye is an unincorporated community in Salamonie Township, Huntington County, Indiana.
Buckeye had its start in the year 1879 by the building of the railroad through that territory. [3] A post office was established at Buckeye in 1879, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1920. [4]

WOWO and WRNP have transmitter towers in Roanoke, along U.S. Highway 24. For many years, television station WPTA was licensed to Roanoke, though that station's studios and transmitter have always been located in nearby Fort Wayne.
