Bulbophyllum abbrevilabium, also known as the short-lipped bulbophyllum, is a warm-growing species of orchid in the genus Bulbophyllum . It is found in the Southeast Asian countries Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. [1] It bears a flower about eight millimetres wide. Akin to the majority of orchid species, it is a pseudobulb epiphyte, and is typically found hanging from tree branches. [2]

Bulbophyllum is a genus of mostly epiphytic and lithophytic orchids in the family Orchidaceae. It is the largest genus in the orchid family and one of the largest genera of flowering plants with more than 2,000 species, exceeded in number only by Astragalus.
