Lee Hye-young is a South Korean actress. She is the daughter of celebrated film director Lee Man-hee, who died in 1975 when she was in middle school. Lee began her acting career in 1981 at the age of 18 through a local musical theatre production of The Sound of Music. Since then she has performed in theater, feature and short films, and television. She was one of the most prominent South Korean actresses in the 1980s, starring in films such as The Blazing Sun (1985), Winter Wanderer (1986), Ticket (1986), The Age of Success (1988), North Korean Partisan in South Korea (1990), Fly High Run Far (1991), Passage to Buddha (1993), and No Blood No Tears (2002). Lee also played supporting roles in the Korean dramas I'm Sorry, I Love You (2004), Fashion 70's (2005) and Boys Over Flowers (2009).
Byun Yo-han is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his roles in the television series Misaeng: Incomplete Life (2014), Six Flying Dragons (2015–2016), Mr. Sunshine (2018), and Black Out (2024). He has also appeared in films including Socialphobia (2015), The Book of Fish (2021) and Hansan: Rising Dragon (2022), for which he was awarded the Best Supporting Actor prize at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Park Jeong-min is a South Korean actor, writer, and book publisher. Known as a prolific Chungmu-ro actor, he is most acclaimed for starring in the films Bleak Night (2011), Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet (2016), Keys to the Heart (2018), Deliver Us from Evil (2020), and Smugglers (2023). He is also the writer of best-selling book A Useful Person.
Seoul Independent Film Festival is an independent film festival in Republic of Korea. The Seoul Independent Movie Festival is jointly held by the Korean Film Council and the Association of Korean Independent Film & Video. Every winter, this festival is held in Seoul. This film festival hosted by Korean Film Council was started as Korean Youth Film Festival in 1975.
Kim Tae-ri is a South Korean actress. She is known for starring in the films The Handmaiden (2016), 1987: When the Day Comes (2017), Little Forest (2018), and Space Sweepers (2020), as well as the television series Mr. Sunshine (2018), Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022), Revenant (2023), and Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born (2024). Choi Hee-seo, born Choi Moon-kyung (최문경), is a South Korean actress. She is best known for portraying anarchist Fumiko Kaneko in the 2017 historical film Anarchist from Colony. For this role, she set a record of winning eleven acting accolades in a single award season, whilst also achieving an unprecedented feat of winning both Best New Actress and Best Actress at the Grand Bell Awards.
Go Min-si is a South Korean actress, model and director managed by Mystic Story Entertainment. She is known for her prominent roles in television series such as Love Alarm (2019–2021), Sweet Home (2020–2023), Youth of May (2021), as well as the films The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion (2018) and Smugglers (2023).
Jeon Yeo-been is a South Korean actress. Jeon rose to prominence for her performance in the independent film After My Death (2018) which earned her the Actress of the Year Award at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival and the Independent Star Award at the 2017 Seoul Independent Film Festival. Jeon's career continued to rise after she starred in the television series Vincenzo (2021), the crime action film Night in Paradise (2021) and television series A Time Called You (2023).
Park Jong-hwan is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his role as Byeon Deuk-jong in the psychological thriller drama Hell Is Other People.
In Front of Your Face is a 2021 South Korean drama film written and directed by Hong Sang-soo. The film was selected to be shown in the Cannes Premiere section at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
Snowball is a 2020 South Korean youth drama film, directed by Lee Woo-jeong and starring Bang Min-ah, Shim Dal-gi, and Han Sung-min. The film adapted from The Best Life by Lim Solah, tells the story of three high school best friends who run away to find answers to their perceived troubles. It was premiered at 25th Busan International Film Festival held from October 21 to 30, 2020. It was released theatrically on September 1, 2021.
Jin Seo-yeon is a South Korean actress. She made her acting debut in 2007 in film Eve's Temptation - Good Wife, since then, she has appeared in number of films and television series. She got recognition for her supporting roles in Manny (2011), Passionate Love (2013), Tell Me What You Saw (2020) and One the Woman (2021). She has acted in films such as: Romantic Island (2008) and Believer (2018), for which she won two Best Supporting Actress awards and five nominations in seven different award ceremonies.
The 31st Buil Film Awards ceremony is hosted by the Busan-based daily newspaper Busan Ilbo. It was held on October 6, 2022 at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom in Haeundae-gu, Busan. In the 31st edition, awards were presented in 16 categories for 215 Korean films that were released from August 11, 2021 to August 10, 2022. Kim Nam-gil and Choi Soo-young hosted the award show.
