The Calgary Soccer Centre Soccer Centre) is an indoor soccer facility located in Calgary, Alberta. The soccer centre is owned and operated by the City of Calgary. The centre is a prime venue for many minor soccer teams in Calgary. [1]
On Monday, November 22, 2010, the Soccer Centre's expansions (known most commonly as "the bubble") collapsed for the second time in two years. According to Perry Logan, the general manager at the time, the collapse was most likely caused by a supporting anchor collapsing before carving a rip in the material. Nobody was inside the bubble and therefore no one was injured in the incident. [2]
In 2014, the City of Calgary built a permanent second building (the Annex) to replace the previous structure (the "bubble"). The Annex houses four indoor soccer fields. [3]
The Calgary Soccer Centre also supports many other sports other than indoor and outdoor soccer, some of which would include field hockey, softball, football, lacrosse, lawn bowling, rugby football, and simply jogging, walking or running. The CSC also is the home venue for sports tournaments such as Jumpstart and the Canada Day lacrosse tournament.
The Soccer Centre is located in the Southeast sector of Calgary, and the office is open on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. There is also a lounge and sandwich shop.
Sports in Canada consist of a wide variety of games. The roots of organized sports in Canada date back to the 1770s, culminating in the development and popularization of the major professional games of ice hockey, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, soccer, football and cricket. Canada's official national sports are ice hockey and lacrosse. There are numerous other Sports Halls of Fame in Canada.
The Central Michigan Chippewas are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Central Michigan University (CMU), located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The school fields sixteen men's and women's intercollegiate teams that compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level.
The Middlebury Panthers are the 31 varsity teams of Middlebury College that compete in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. The Panthers lead the NESCAC in total number of national championships, having won 42 team titles since the conference lifted its ban on NCAA play in 1994. Middlebury enjoys national success in soccer, cross country running, field hockey, men's basketball, women's hockey, skiing, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse, and fields 31 varsity NCAA teams and several competitive club teams including a sailing team (MCSC), a crew team, a water polo team, an ultimate frisbee team, and a rugby team. Since 2000, Middlebury's varsity squads have won 84 NESCAC titles. Currently, 28% of students participate in varsity sports.

The Le Moyne Dolphins are the athletic teams that represent Le Moyne College, located in DeWitt, New York, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sporting competitions. The Dolphins compete as members of Northeast-10 Conference. Le Moyne has been a member of the NE-10 since 1996. At the end of the 2022–23 academic year, Le Moyne will start a transition to NCAA Division I as a new member of the Northeast Conference (NEC).
The Sacred Heart Pioneers are the 32 sports teams representing Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut in intercollegiate athletics. The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks, commonly known as the IUP Crimson Hawks and formerly called the IUP Indians, are the varsity athletic teams that represent Indiana University of Pennsylvania, which is located in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The university and all of its intercollegiate sports teams compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) within the NCAA Division II. The New Haven Chargers are the athletic teams that represent the University of New Haven, located in West Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Chargers' 18 varsity athletics teams, seven men's and 11 women's, compete as members of the Northeast-10 Conference, with the exception of women's rugby which competes under USA Rugby.
