Basshunter performed "Calling Time" in June 2011. [1] In 2012 the video promoting the album about this same title, Basshunter in Magaluf !! – Featuring – Dream on the Dance Floor include "Calling Time" has been released. [2] In March 2013, Basshunter uploaded demo of the "Calling Time". [3] Song has been released on Calling Time on 13 May. [4] On 24 June the release of single has been confirmed. [5] The video promoting album, Basshunter – Calling Time // Album Snippet Mix released on 30 July included fragment of song. [6] The single has been released on 27 September, as sixth single from album. [7]

The Bassmachine, Basshunter's debut studio album, was released by Alex Music on 25 August 2004. In April 2006, he signed his first contract with Extensive Music and Warner Music Sweden. His single "Boten Anna" charted at number one on the Danish singles chart, where it stayed for fourteen weeks; it was certified triple platinum by IFPI Danmark. "Boten Anna" also reached number one in the Swedish singles chart and was certified platinum by IFPI Sverige. His second studio album LOL, released on 28 August 2006, charted in the top five in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The album was certified platinum by IFPI Finland and double platinum by IFPI Danmark. In late 2006, Basshunter released his albums The Bassmachine and The Old Shit through his own website. It was written by Ciara, Livvi Franc, and co-written and produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. The song was set to be released as the third single from the album, but was cancelled. The album was announced alongside a tour, which began in June 2015 and ended in December 2016. In 2007 the song was released on various artists compilation album Tanzpalast Dance Compilation - Final Edition. In 2015 "Hallå där" was uploaded by Basshunter to his YouTube channel.
