Camas County is a county in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Idaho. The county seat and largest city is Fairfield. The county was established 104 years ago in 1917 by the Idaho Legislature with a partition of Blaine County on February 6. It is named for the camas root, or Camassia, a lily-like plant with an edible bulb found in the region, that Native Americans and settlers used as a food source. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,117, making it the second-least populous county in the state.
Fairfield is the county seat of and the only city in Camas County, Idaho. The population was 416 at the time of 2010 census, nearly half of the rural county's population. The town was featured in a season two episode of The X-Files, where an investigation at a fictitious zoo took place.
College of Southern Idaho (CSI) is a public community college in Twin Falls, Idaho. It also has off-campus programs in Jerome, Hailey, Burley and Gooding. Until the foundation of the College of Western Idaho in 2007, CSI was one of only two comprehensive community colleges in Idaho, along with North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene.
Timberline High School is a three-year public secondary school in Boise, Idaho. Opened in August 1998, it is the fourth and newest traditional high school in the Boise School District, serving its southeast portion. Originally opened as Les Bois Junior High in 1994, it was expanded and the junior high was rebuilt at a different location. The school colors are royal blue, silver, and black and the mascot is a wolf.

Located on the Camas Prairie in rural Lewis County in the north central part of the state, it is often referred to as "Highland-Craigmont" to distinguish it from the larger and later established Highland High School in Pocatello. Sun Valley Community School is a private school in the western United States, located in Sun Valley, Idaho. It was established in 1973 as a secondary school and moved to its present location in 1975. The school now provides pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade programs, in addition to an Outdoor Program, Outdoor Leadership Academy, Sun Valley Ski Academy, and Residential Program. Its main Trail Creek Campus is located just south of the Sun Valley Resort alongside Trail Creek, at the northwest base of Dollar Mountain. Its residential Campus, Rufus M. Brown Hall is located at 280 Northwood Way, Ketchum, and its athletic facility, Dumke Family Sagewillow Campus, is located at 1 Arrowleaf Road, Sun Valley.

Magic Dam is an earthen embankment dam across the Big Wood River in southwestern Blaine County, Idaho, in the United States, about 40 miles (64 km) north of Twin Falls. The dam was completed in 1910 by Magic Reservoir Hydroelectric, Inc. for irrigation, flood control and hydroelectric generation, and stores up to 195,000 acre-feet (0.241 km3) of water in Magic Reservoir, which lies in both Blaine County and adjacent southeastern Camas County. Water from the reservoir is used to irrigate 89,000 acres (36,000 ha) around and between Shoshone and Richfield. Magic Dam also supports a power station with three turbines totaling a capacity of 9,000 kW.
