Canadians, formerly known as BV Landlust, was a Dutch basketball club from Amsterdam. The team was one of the original twelve teams in the Eredivisie. The team was founded in 1952 and played in the Eredivisie for 42 seasons. [1]

Landlust was founded in 1951 and remained until 1992–93 season in the Premier League, with the exception of the 1972–73 season. The club from Amsterdam is third with 32 seasons in the league, after Den Bosch (40) and Donar (38).

Landlust played until 1972 without sponsor. On return to the Premier League in 1973–74, adopted for sponsorship reasons the name Delta Lloyd Amsterdam, a name that remained for eight years. In 1981, Black Velvet Rose sponsor baton and was named Black Velvet Canadians. In 1986 Sportlife sponsor but the name remained Canadians: Sports Life Canadians. The season 1990–91 was a sponsor of charge year and the club went through life as Canadians Amsterdam. The last two seasons the club was sponsored by Graydon and was named the club Gray Dons Canadians. In 1994 the club dissolved.

The first men's team won in 1962 and 1963, the national championship.

The Basketball Cup, for sponsorship reasons the TOTO Basketball Cup and formerly the NBB Cup, is an annual cup competition for Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition.

The Women's Basketball League (WBL) is the highest level of women's basketball in the Netherlands. The first season was played in 1949. Blue Stars is the record titleholder of the league with 20 championships. As of 2021, the league consists of nine teams.

The 2014–15 Dutch Basketball League season will be the 55th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The defending champion was Donar from Groningen.

D.B.V. Rowic is a Dutch basketball team based in Dordrecht. Founded on 1 April 1964, the team played in the first-level Eredivisie during the 1970s and 1980s. The team was known as Frisol/Rowic for sponsorships reasons, playing in green jerseys as this was the sponsor's color. After Frisol stopped as main sponsor, the team played in the second-tier Eerste Divisie. Rowic won the NBB Cup in 1981, under the sponsored named "Snel Reizen".
