The Kalverdijkje is an indoor sports complex located in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. The complex has a swimming pool and is used to play basketball, volleyball and korfball. It is the home arena of professional basketball club Aris Leeuwarden of the Dutch Basketball League.

The Kalverdijkje has two halls, the Egelantierhal and the Schieringenhal with the latter one being used the most. Aris Leeuwarden plays its home games in this hall, which has a capacity of 1,700 people. [1] Before its expansion in 2014, it had a capacity of 1,000 people. [2]

On 29 September 2017, Donar from Groningen played one Basketball Champions League qualifying game in the Kalverdijkje against CB Estudiantes.

The 2017–18 NBB Cup was the 50th edition of the Netherlands' national basketball cup tournament. Donar was the defending champion. Donar successfully defended its title, after beating runners-up ZZ Leiden in the Final. The Final was played on 25 March 2018 in MartiniPlaza in Groningen.

The 2018–19 Dutch Basketball League (DBL) was the 59th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The regular season started on 6 October 2018 and ended 30 April 2019. The best eight teams qualify for the playoffs which start on 2 May 2019. Donar was the defending champion.

Jonathan "Johhny" Williams is an American basketball player.

The 2019–20 Basketball Cup is the 52nd edition of the Netherlands' national basketball cup tournament. This was the first season the competition was known as Basketball Cup instead of NBB Cup, as the national federation changed its name from NBB to Basketball Nederland. On 12 March 2020, competition was suspended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was made prior to the final, which was to be played by Donar and Aris Leeuwarden.
