NAC Basketbal was a Dutch basketball club based in Breda. The club was the basketball section of the football club NAC Breda, which aimed to make itself a multi-sports club.
The team was founded in 2000, along with outspoken ambitions of playing in European competitions as well as in the Eredivisie. [1] With head coach Jos Wolffs, the team finished fifth in Group A during the 2000–01 Eredivisie season. In its second season, NAC reached the playoff semi-finals. After financial problems during its second season, the club was dissolved in April 2002. [2]

NAC Breda, often simply known as NAC, is a Dutch professional football club, based in Breda, Netherlands. NAC Breda play in the Rat Verlegh Stadium, named after their most important player, Antoon 'Rat' Verlegh. They play in the Eerste Divisie. In their history, NAC won one national title in 1921 and won one Cup in 1973.

The 2008–09 Eredivisie was the 53rd season of Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. PSV were the reigning champions. The season began on 29 August 2008 with a game between Vitesse Arnhem and FC Groningen and ended on 10 May 2009. A total of 18 teams take part in the league, consisting of 16 who competed in the previous season and two promoted from the Eerste Divisie. The teams promoted from the Eerste Divisie at the end of the previous season were champions FC Volendam, and play-off winners ADO Den Haag. AZ clinched their second title, their first coming in 1981.
The 2002–03 KNVB Cup was the 85th edition of the tournament. The competition started on 6 August 2002 and the final was played on 1 June 2003. FC Utrecht won the cup for the second time by beating Feyenoord 4–1. A total of 86 clubs participated.
The Dutch Eerste Divisie in the 1990–91 season was contested by 20 teams, one more than in the previous season. This was due to VC Vlissingen entering from the amateurs. De Graafschap won the championship.
