The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League.

The award is given after the regular season and was first handed out in 1974. Six Dutch players have won the award so far, with Arvin Slagter being the last in 2014. Kees Akerboom, Sr. and Leon Rodgers (2005–2007) are the all-time leaders in Dutch MVP awards.

This team is based on players' performance throughout the regular season. After the end of the season, the best players of each position are chosen. It is not to be confused with the DBL All-Star Gala, an event where the best players in the league come together.
