Carlota Gooden (born 7 June 1936) is a Panamanian sprinter. She was the first woman to represent Panama at the Olympics. [1]

She competed in the women's 100 metres at the 1960 Summer Olympics. She finished second in the 1959 Pan American Games 4 × 100 metres Relay (with Jean Holmes-Mitchell, Marcela Daniel, and Silvia Hunte), third in the 1959 Pan American Games 60 metres and third in the 1959 Pan American Games 100 metres. [2] She was descended from Barbadian canal workers. In 1955, she earned an athletic scholarship to Tuskegee University, one of the premier African American women's track programs. [3]

She finished third in the 1959 Pan American Games 4 × 100 metres relay. Jerome also finished seventh in the 1959 Pan American Games long jump. Jerome is the only Canadian athlete to compete in five track and field events in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, or Pan-American Games. She is the sister of Harry Jerome and the granddaughter of John "Army" Howard.

Patty Loverock is a Canadian sprinter. She competed in the women's 100 metres and 200 metres at the 1976 Summer Olympics, where she got to the semi-finals in both events. She set a Canadian record of 23.03 in her quarter-final of the women's 200 metres. Loverock ran second leg of the women's 4 x 100 metres relay at the Montreal Olympics, the team set a Canadian and Commonwealth record of 43.17 second finishing in 4th place.

Jennifer Innis is a Guyanese and American former sprinter and long jumper. Innis represented Guyana at the 1979 Pan American Games. She competed in the women's 100 metres and long jump at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Innis was a finalist in the 1983 World Championships long jump, finishing eleventh. For thirty years, she held the Guyanese women's national record for 100 meters at 11.26 seconds until it was surpassed by Brenessa Thompson in 2017 with a time of 11.14 seconds.

Silvia Hunte Zambrano is a Panamanian sprinter. She competed in the women's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1960 Summer Olympics. She finished second in the 1959 Pan American Games 4 × 100 metres relay.

Lorraine Dunn was a Panamanian sprinter and hurdler. She competed in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 1960 and the 1964 Summer Olympics as well as the 80 metres hurdles in 1964. Dunn finished third in the 200 metres with a time of 24.7 seconds and finished fourth in the 80 metres hurdles at the 1963 Pan American Games. Dunn's international breakthrough came when she won a gold medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games as a 16-year old. She also won a silver medal in the 80 metres hurdles and a bronze in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 1962 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Carlota Ulloa is a Chilean hurdler. She competed in the women's 80 metres hurdles at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Ulloa finished fourth in the 80 metres hurdles at the 1967 Pan American Games.
