The Castle of Guarda (Portuguese : Castelo da Guarda) is a medieval castle in the civil parish of Guarda, municipality of Guarda, the Portuguese district of the same name.

It is classified as a National Monument.

Mondego River River in Portugal

The Rio Mondego or Mondego River is the longest river entirely within Portuguese territory. It has its source in Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in mainland Portugal. The district of Guarda is located in the Centro Region of Portugal, except Vila Nova de Foz Côa, which is in the Norte Region. The district capital and most populous city is Guarda.

Beira Interior Norte is a former Portuguese subregion in the Centro Region. It was abolished at the January 2015 NUTS 3 revision. It was also part of an urban community (ComUrb) called Beiras.
