Goochland County is a county located in the Piedmont of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its southern border is formed by the James River. As of the 2020 census, the population was 24,727. Its county seat is Goochland.

The James River and Kanawha Canal was a partially built canal in Virginia intended to facilitate shipments of passengers and freight by water between the western counties of Virginia and the coast. Ultimately its towpath became the roadbed for a rail line following the same course.

The Cedar Point Light is a restored lighthouse on the grounds of the Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, United States. The original lighthouse at the site was built in 1838, and a front range light was added to the station in 1853. A new lighthouse, the structure which stands today, was completed in 1862. This light served as a navigational aid until 1909, in which year the light tower was removed from atop the dwelling. In the ensuing years it was kept in use by the federal government as a buoy depot, a radio beacon station and a search and rescue boat station. These last duties were transferred to Marblehead Coast Guard Station in 1975, and the Cedar Point station was discontinued. Cedar Point Amusement Park acquired the structure in 1987 and spent the decade refurbishing the dwelling and reconstructing the light tower. The lighthouse opened as part of a vacation cottage development in 2001.

Lock-Keeper's House is a historic home located near Cedar Point, Goochland County, Virginia. It was built about 1836, and is a two-story frame structure resting on a stone foundation of whitewashed, rough-faced, uncoursed ashlar. It has a shallow gable roof and a shed roof porch that extends the length of the building. It was built to serve Lock Number 7 at Cedar Point and is the last remaining lock-keeper's house of the James River and Kanawha Canal system. It addition to being a residence, the lock-keeper's house served as a tavern and furnished accommodations for passengers and canal boat crews.
Goochland County Court Square is a historic county courthouse and national historic district located at Goochland, Goochland County, Virginia. It includes three contributing buildings and one contributing site. The Goochland County Court House was built in 1826 by Dabney Cosby, an architect of the area. It is a two-story, temple-form brick structure with a projecting pedimented tetrastyle Tuscan order portico.
The WCF & N Center Point Depot and Substation, also known as the Center Point Depot Museum, is a historic building located in Center Point, Iowa, United States. The Mission Revival building was constructed in 1914 by the Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Northern Railway, an interurban line that ran between the Waterloo – Cedar Falls area and Cedar Rapids. Passenger service ended here in 1956, and rail freight was discontinued in 1973. The station sat empty until it was renovated beginning in 1983. Other renovation projects were carried out 1998 to 1999 and 2013. The building was acquired by the Linn County Conservation Board in the early 1980s and turned into a museum and rest stop along the Cedar Valley Nature Trail, which follows the former rail bed. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
The Cedar Grove School is a historic one-room schoolhouse located at 4216 County Route 516 in Old Bridge Township of Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. Built in 1885, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 24, 1976 for its significance in education and community history. It was named after the nearby cedar trees and cedar swamp. Since 1964, the building has been the Thomas Warne Museum, run by the Madison–Old Bridge Township Historical Society.
