The clubhouse along with the fully developed course opened in 1999. the area is also bordered by the West Nose Creek. The neighborhood is often mistaken with Country Hills Estates which lies to the south between Country Hills Golf Club and Beddington Trail which was developed a decade earlier. The new community of Country Hills Village is located in the northeast of the neighbourhood. Country Hills is a generally calm and quiet area.

16 Avenue N station is a planned CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, part of the Green Line Phase 2. On June 16, 2020, Calgary City Council approved the alignment of Green Line Stage 1, Phase 1 and 2, running between this station and Shepard station. As of July, 2024, a decision of building Phase 2 has not been made. The station serves as the northern terminus station for stage one of construction and is expected to be one of the busiest stations on opening day. It will serve as a transfer point between the Green Line and MAX Orange BRT, connecting riders to the city's northwest, northeast, the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, the University of Calgary, the Foothills Medical Centre, the Alberta Children's Hospital and future Calgary Cancer Centre.

Construction is expected to begin in 2022 and complete in 2027 as the northern terminus of construction phase one.
