Ceratotrochus is a genus of cnidarians belonging to the family Caryophylliidae. [1]
The genus has almost cosmopolitan distribution. [1]
It originated during the latter half of the Cretaceous period. [2] As this genus belongs to the Scleractinia order, it occupies a marine habitat. The organism has no movement, and are attached. They are blind as they belong to the anthozoa subphylum.
