Ceux qui dorment les yeux ouverts (Those who sleep with their eyes open) is an extended play by Congolese-French rapper Gims, which was released on 7 December 2006. [1] It was also Gims's first solo project produced by Wati B. He also participated with the group Sexion d'Assaut in some songs. The disc contains nine songs. [2]
In parallel with his career with Sexion d'Assaut, Gims tried his hand at musical composition. At the end of 2006, he released his first solo project, a maxi entitled Ceux qui dorment les yeux ouverts. [3]
The extended play was produced by ATK's Fredy K and Noko. With very few copies pressed, the disc aimed to make Gims known to the general public.[ citation needed ] The record features tracks with Sexion d'Assaut, Scred Connexion rapper Koma and a singer named Carole. [4]

Sexion d'Assaut, formerly known as 3ème Prototype, was a French hip hop band formed in 2002, composed of eight Parisian rappers. They are signed to independent record label Wati B, which is under exclusive license to Sony Music Entertainment France.
Wati B is a French record label established in 2000 by Dawala and rap band Intouchable and owned by Sony Music Entertainment. "Wati B" comes from wati bɛɛ, a Bamanankan expression that means "all the time". Dawala directs the operations of the label.

Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, known professionally as Maître Gims and more recently just Gims, is a French-Congolese singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter. He grew up in France and currently lives in France and Morocco. He is a member of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assaut. He pursued an individual career under the name Maître Gims in 2013. He previously released an extended play in 2006, titled Ceux qui dorment les yeux ouverts. During his career he has worked with several international artists such as Sia, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Stromae, Maluma, Sting, and others. He has sold over 5 million records, including 3 million albums since the start of his career. He started his solo career in 2013 with the release of his first album, Subliminal in May on Wati B and Monstre Marin Corporation, which sold over a million copies and peaked at number two in the French album charts. In December he released a reissue titled Subliminal la face cachée. The album contained songs such as "J'me tire", "Bella" and "Zombie". From its first week of operation, the album certified platinum and would end up being double diamond disc for over 1,000,000 in sales. The album was a great success charting in France, Belgium as well as charting in Switzerland.
Alpha Diallo, better known by his stage name Black M, is a French rapper, singer, songwriter and member of the Sexion d'Assaut group.
Bastien Vincent, known by his stage name Maska, is a French rapper and dancer. He is a founding member of the French hip-hop band Sexion d'Assaut.
Abdel Karim Fall, better known by his stage name Lefa, is a French rapper and dancer. He is a founding member of the French rap / hip hop collective Sexion d'Assaut.
