"Cha Cha Sing" (stylized as "cha cha SING") is the 29th single by the Japanese female idol group Berryz Kobo,released in Japan on July 25,2012.
The single was released in four versions:Limited Edition A,Limited Edition B,Limited Edition C,and Regular Edition. Each edition has a different cover. All the limited editions were shipped sealed and included a serial-numbered entry card for the lottery to win a ticket to one of the single's launch events. The limited editions A and B included a bonus DVD:Limited Edition A DVD contained the "Cha Cha Sing (Dance Shot Ver.)" music video,Limited Edition B —"Cha Cha Sing (Close-up Berry Kobo Ver.)".
The title track "Cha Cha Sing" is a cover of the song "Row Mah Sing" (Thai :เรามาซิง; RTGS: Rao Ma Sing) by popular Thai singer Bird Thongchai, [2] and the first B-side "Loving You Too Much" is also a cover of a song by him,titled "Too Much So Much Very Much". Both were translated into Japanese. [3] One version of the "Cha Cha Sing" music video depicts a flash mob,which was held in Venus Fort. [4] "Momochi! Yurushite-nyan Taisō" is Momoko Tsugunaga's first solo song. [4] Prior to the release of the CD single,the music video was distributed exclusively on RecoChoku since July 15. Berryz Kobo was a Japanese idol girl group formed by Up-Front Promotion in 2004 and associated with Hello! Project. The group's members consisted of Hello! Project Kids members Saki Shimizu, Momoko Tsugunaga, Miyabi Natsuyaki, Chinami Tokunaga, Maasa Sudo, Yurina Kumai, and Risako Sugaya; Maiha Ishimura left the group in 2005.
Momoko Tsugunaga is a former Japanese singer, actress, and radio personality. Tsugunaga joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello! Project Kids at the age of 10 and later became part of the girl groups Berryz Kobo and Buono! Following Berryz Kobo's hiatus, she became the playing manager of Country Girls. In 2017, Tsugunaga retired from entertainment to become a kindergarten teacher.
Chinami Tokunaga is a Japanese singer. She is a former member of the J-pop idol group Berryz Kobo.
Yurina Kumai is a Japanese pop singer and fashion model. She is a member of Berryz Kobo and former member of Hello! Project Kids. Her signature color is green.
Saki Shimizu is a Japanese former singer. Her career began in 2002 when she passed the audition for Hello! Project Kids, an all-female teen pop group within Hello! Project. She continued to sing in that group and became a part of two smaller groups composed of Hello! Project Kids members, Berryz Kobo and ZYX. She is captain of J-pop band Berryz Kobo.
Cute, was a Japanese girl group associated with Hello! Project and produced by Tsunku. Cute consisted of Maimi Yajima, Saki Nakajima, Airi Suzuki, Chisato Okai, and Mai Hagiwara, who were all members of Hello! Project Kids prior to the group's formation. The original member line-up also consisted of fellow Hello! Project Kids members Megumi Murakami and Erika Umeda, as well as Kanna Arihara, prior to their departure.
Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba is the 14th single by all-girl J-pop group Berryz Kobo, released on June 27, 2007 on the Piccolo Town label. The single was released both as a normal, CD-only edition and a limited edition with a bonus DVD. The limited edition also contained a Berryz Kobo photo-card. An entry ticket to the launch event on July 1 was included with the first copies of the limited edition. Later, a "B" limited edition was released, including a bonus photobook. The Single V was released on July 11, 2007. The single peaked at #4 on the weekly Oricon charts, the group's new personal high, charting for three weeks; the Single V peaked at #17 and charted for two weeks.
6th Otakebi Album is the sixth studio album by the Japanese girl group Berryz Kobo. It was released on March 31, 2010 on the Piccolo Town label, and peaked at #12 on the weekly Oricon chart. The album was released in two editions: a normal edition and a limited edition. The first pressing of the normal edition contained a bonus photocard, while the limited edition came with a special DVD containing two versions of the PV for "Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda!", as well as additional footage. Both editions also contained a ticket to the album's release event. The album features seven of the group's previous singles, as well as five original tracks.
