Pahang, officially Pahang Darul Makmur with the Arabic honorific Darul Makmur is a sultanate and a federal state of Malaysia. It is the third largest Malaysian state by area and ninth largest by population. The state occupies the basin of the Pahang River, and a stretch of the east coast as far south as Endau. Geographically located in the East Coast region of the Peninsular Malaysia, the state shares borders with the Malaysian states of Kelantan and Terengganu to the north, Perak, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan to the west, Johor to the south, while South China Sea is to the east. The Titiwangsa mountain range that forms a natural divider between the Peninsula's east and west coasts is spread along the north and south of the state, peaking at Mount Tahan, which is 2,187m high. Although two thirds of the state is covered by dense rain forest, its central plains are intersected by numerous rivers, and along the coast there is a 32-kilometre wide expanse of alluvial soil that includes the deltas and estuarine plains of the Kuantan, Pahang, Rompin, Endau, and Mersing rivers.
Tioman Island is a mukim and an island in Rompin District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located 32 kilometres off the east coast of the state, and is some 39 kilometres long and 12 kilometres wide. It has seven villages, the largest and most populous being Kampung Tekek on the central western coast. The densely forested island is sparsely inhabited, and is surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a popular scuba diving, snorkelling, and surfing spot. There are many resorts and chalets for tourists around the island, which has duty-free status.
Genting Highlands is a hill station city located on the peak of Mount Ulu Kali in Malaysia at 1,800 meters elevation. A large portion of the area is located in the state of Pahang, and another small portion is located in the state of Selangor. It was established by the late Chinese businessman Lim Goh Tong in 1965. The primary tourist attraction is Resorts World Genting, a hill resort where casinos and theme parks are situated, and gambling is allowed.

The Cameron Highlands is a district in Pahang, Malaysia, occupying an area of 712.18 square kilometres (274.97 sq mi). To the north, its boundary touches that of Kelantan; to the west, it shares part of its border with Perak. Situated at the northwestern tip of Pahang, the "Camerons" is approximately 90 kilometres (56 mi) from Ipoh, roughly 200 kilometres (120 mi) from Kuala Lumpur or about 355 kilometres (221 mi) from Kuantan, the capital of Pahang. It is the smallest municipality in the state.

The Bukit Tinggi Southern Loop Road, Jalan Baru Berjaya Hills Resort, Federal Route 436, is an institutional facilities federal road in Berjaya Hills Resort, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, Malaysia. It is a main route to the Berjaya Hills Golf Club and Club House, Meranti Park Suites and Rabbit Park of the Berjaya Hills Resort and also a main route to the Institut Latihan Kesejahteraan Bandar, Perumahaan dan Kerajaan Tempatan (ILKBPKT), a training centre of the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government.
Lanjut Airstrip, is an airfield serving Rompin, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located next to the popular old Lanjut Beach and Golf Resort, just north of the Rompin river. The airfield currently has no scheduled airline operations, most arriving aircraft are those from the regional flying clubs and those owned by private individuals. Due to the short runway at just 781 meters by 16 meters wide, the airstrip limits potential commercial aviation operators from commencing public air services. The recommended landing direction is runway 18, and pilots are to exercise caution as wildlife and loose materials have been reported near the runway. Resort guests from the near by Lanjut Beach and Golf resort have been spotted riding their bikes on the airstrip. Prior permission is required for arriving private aircraft, so that resort staff are able to assist with arrival procedures.
