Merapoh

Merapoh is a small town in Lipis District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located next to the Pahang-Kelantan border. A railway station of the KTM East Coast Line is located here.

From Merapoh it is 7 km to Sg Relau, one of the entry points to Taman Negara. [1] One of Malaysia's popular spots for spelunking activities, Merapoh is also known for its karst landscape.

Jalan Bukit Tujuh (Seven Hill Road) is an infamous short strip of road along the route from Merapoh in the state of Pahang to Gua Musang in the state of Kelantan. The strip which is in the state of Pahang, lies on a slope with a very high inclination angle. It is on this strip that two saddening incidents happened in the 1980s; the road laden with travelers returning for the festive season collapsed suddenly, taking along a few vehicles. Rescue was difficult since the strip is secluded, the nearest residential area were very far away. Victims trapped in vehicles that were unable to be dug-out were left buried. The incident made front-page news on local newspaper. As of 2009, a new strip of road has been built next to the old tragic road. Faint traces of the old road is noticeable to travelers seasoned with this road. Jalan Bukit Tujuh is a constituent of Malaysia Federal Route 8.

Malaysia Federal Route 56

Jalan Bukit Fraser 1 or Jalan Gap-Bukit Fraser, Federal Route 56, is a federal road in Fraser's Hill, both in Selangor and Pahang state, Malaysia. Unlike most federal roads in Malaysia, Jalan Bukit Fraser is a single-lane federal road, which direction was used to be reversed hourly before the newer Jalan Bukit Fraser 2 route 148 was completed in 2001 for downhill traffic. Now the road is used for uphill traffic at all times. The road is only open during daytime for safety reasons. It is maintained by the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) and the Fraser's Hill Development Corporation (FHDC).

Federal Route 68, also known as Jalan Gombak or Jalan Karak Lama, is a federal road in Malaysia that links the city of Kuala Lumpur to Bentong, Pahang. Before Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway E8/FT2 was built, the road was used to be a part of Kuala Lumpur–Kuantan Road FT2; however, due to its sharp corners, narrow roadway and lack of safety features, a replacement highway known as the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway FT2 was built, causing the former Kuala Lumpur–Bentong section to be re-gazetted as the Federal Route 68.

Second East–West Highway, also known as Simpang Pulai–Kuala Berang Highway, Federal Route 185 and Federal Route 36, is a highway in Peninsular Malaysia which connects Simpang Pulai in Perak to Kuala Jeneris in Terengganu. It overlaps with Federal Route 8 Federal Route 8 between Gua Musang and Sungai Relau. It is notorious for its many sharp corners which increase the risk of road accidents.

The Federal Route 8, also known as the Kuala Lumpur–Kota Bharu Highway, is a 402.7-km federal highway in Malaysia. It connects Bentong in the south to Kota Bharu in the north. The highway had two parts - Kota Bharu–Kuala Krai Road and Bentong–Kuala Lipis Road until the completion of the missing link from Kuala Krai to Kuala Lipis, causing the entire FT8 highway to take 99 years to be completed.

Bukit Bakri

Bakri or often Bukit Bakri is a town in Muar District, Johor, Malaysia. It is located along Federal Route in Muar district, just five kilometers east of Muar town. In 1991, it had a population of 10,000, which doubled by the 2000 census to 20,123. Now Bukit Bakri population is 30,280.

Gua Musang District District of Malaysia in Kelantan

Gua Musang is a town, district and parliamentary constituency in southern Kelantan, Malaysia. It is the largest district in Kelantan. Gua Musang is administered by the Gua Musang District Council. Mentakab is a town, a mukim (commune) and a state assembly constituency in Temerloh District in central Pahang, Malaysia. It is 9 km (5.6 mi) northwest from downtown Temerloh and 82 km (51 mi) northeast from Kuala Lumpur.

Federal Route 63 is a federal road in Pahang, Malaysia, linking the town of Bukit Ibam and Bandar Muadzam Shah to the town of Bandar Baru Rompin. The road was built at the site of a defunct light railway track from Bukit Ibam to Kuala Rompin.

Malaysia Federal Route 102 Road in Malaysia

The Federal Route 102, also known as Pos Betau–Lembah Bertam Road, is a 79.1-kilometre (49.2 mi) federal highway in Pahang, Malaysia. It is built as the third access road to the district of Cameron Highlands, Pahang after the Federal Route 59 and 185. The completion of the highway makes it possible for Pahangite motorists to visit Cameron Highlands without leaving the state of Pahang.

The 2013 Malaysia Cup was the 87th season of Malaysia Cup and began on 20 August with a preliminary round and finished on 3 November 2013 with the final, held at Shah Alam Stadium. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition. The teams were divided into four groups, each containing four teams. The group leaders and runners-up teams in the groups after six matches qualified to the quarterfinals.

Central Spine Road (CSR) or Kuala Krai–Kuala Pilah Highway, Federal Route 34, is a new toll-free highway under construction in the center of Peninsular Malaysia. The 325 km highway is built to eventually replace the former two-lane Federal Route 8 Gua Musang Highway and Federal Route 9 Karak–Tampin highway. Construction of CSR starts at Package 3 which is from Merapoh to Kampung Relong. It commences at Package 3 as the Gua Musang Highway passes through Chegar Perah which is prone to roadkill. The highway has a long eco-viaduct built in this section. Package 5 which is from north Raub to Karak will be built next, which will connect it to E8 Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway bypassing Bentong and Mempaga. This will help detour traffic from the steep mountainous grade between Raub and Bentong. It was fomerly known as Central Spine Expressway.

Jerantut (town)

Jerantut is a town in Pahang, Malaysia. It is located about 200 km from Kuala Lumpur and 180 km from Kuantan. It is located in Jerantut District, which is the largest district in the State of Pahang. It covers an area of 2,900 square miles. Bordered by the States of Kelantan and Terengganu in the North, Temerloh and Maran districts in the South, Kuala Lipis and Raub districts in the West and Kuantan district and Terengganu state in the East. It has 10 mukims consisting of 295 villages administered under 58 JKKK. Jerantut District Council was gazetted on 18 February 1982.
