Genting Sempah or Sempah Pass is a transit town and mountain pass in Bentong District, Pahang, Malaysia. Genting Sempah is mostly known as a transit point to Genting Highlands which is a hill station located on peak of Mount Kali in Malaysia. [1]
Genting Highlands is a hill station city located on the peak of Mount Ulu Kali in Malaysia at 1,800 meters elevation. A large portion of the area is located in the state of Pahang. It was established by the late Chinese businessman Lim Goh Tong in 1965. The primary tourist attraction is Resorts World Genting, a hill resort where casinos and theme parks are situated, and gambling is allowed.

Federal Route 68, also known as Jalan Gombak or Jalan Karak Lama, is a federal road in Malaysia that links the city of Kuala Lumpur to Bentong, Pahang. Before Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway E8/FT2 was built, the road was used to be a part of Kuala Lumpur–Kuantan Road FT2; however, due to its sharp corners, narrow roadway and lack of safety features, a replacement highway known as the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway FT2 was built, causing the former Kuala Lumpur–Bentong section to be re-gazetted as the Federal Route 68.
The Mohamed Noah Foundation Mosque is the only mosque in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. It was opened in 1981. This mosque also acts as the rest area for Muslims to perform their prayers during, before or after vacation to Genting Highlands. It was named after Tan Sri Mohammad Noah, a Malaysian politician and he was among the founders of Genting Highlands after Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong.

When they actually arrived to take possession of their land and saw how barren and infertile it was, a man threw up his hand in despair and said si liau, which is colloquial Hokkien for "we're finished."

The Genting Sempah Tunnel is the first highway tunnel in Malaysia. Located on the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway, the 900-metre tunnel connects Hulu Gombak in Selangor to Genting Sempah, Pahang. This tunnel was constructed between 1977 and 1979. The tunnel was officially opened in 1979 by the former Minister of Works and Communications, Abdul Ghani Gilong.

The 1990 Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway crash was a highway pile-up took place in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia on 28 February 1990. About 17 people were killed when the passenger bus collided with a tanker lorry, FRU riot police vehicles, a lorry, two taxis and six cars at kilometre 30.9 of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway about 5 km from Genting Sempah Tunnel at Selangor–Pahang border. 11 FRU riot police personal were killed too. Many vehicles to and from Kuala Lumpur were trapped in a massive jams for five hours. This was the worst highway disaster in Malaysia since Kuala Lumpur–Karak Highway was opened to traffic in 1979.

The Conlay MRT station is a mass rapid transit (MRT) underground station under construction that will serve the suburb of Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is one of the stations being built as part of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) project on the Putrajaya Line. The station will be built beside Kompleks Kraf (Craft Complex) on Jalan Conlay.
