Chevannah Paalvast (born 4 September 1991) is a professional basketball player from New Zealand.
Paalvast played college basketball for the Monmouth Hawks in West Long Branch, New Jersey, participating in NCAA Division I. [1] In her final season, she was awarded a place on the All-MAAC Third Team.

After a season with the Southern Peninsula Sharks in the Big V, Paalvast was signed by the WNBL defending champions, the Townsville Fire for the 2015–16 season. She would go on to take home her maiden WNBL title and help the Fire achieve back-to-back titles. Paalvast has been re-signed for the 2016–17 season. [3]
In September 2017, Paalvast was signed by the Canberra Capitals for the 2017–18 season. [4]
At the 2015 FIBA Oceania Women's Championship Paalvast made her international debut where she won a silver medal as part of the Tall Ferns New Zealand women's basketball team. [5] She represented New Zealand at FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2016. Unfortunately, the Tall Ferns fell short on Olympic qualification.
Suzy Batkovic is an Australian professional basketball player and politician. Suzy played her junior basketball with the Port Hunter Basketball Club in Newcastle. She has played basketball for several European clubs including the French Valenciennes, the Spanish side Ros Casares, the Russian side UMMC Ekaterinburg, and Italian side Cras Basket. In the United States, she has played for the Seattle Storm after having been selected as a first round draft pick in 2003. She has played professional basketball domestically for the Australian Institute of Sport in 1996–1999, the Sydney Uni Flames from 1999–2001, and 2009–2010, the Townsville Fire in 2001–2002, the Canberra Capitals in 2010–2011, and the Adelaide Lightning in 2011–2013; she returned to the Fire for the 2013–14 season.
