Bradlee Logan Taylor Ashby (born 23 November 1995) is a New Zealand swimmer who represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He competed in the men's 200-meter individual medley and 200-meter butterfly.
Ashby was born on 23 November 1995 [1] in Hamilton. [2] He is studying for a bachelor's degree in Business Studies at Massey University. [3] [1]
Ashby trains in Auckland as part of the Swimming New Zealand High-Performance squad. He is a member of North Shore Swimming club in Auckland. [1]
His first international appearances representing New Zealand were in 2013 at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and the FINA World Junior Championships, where he competed in the 200 and 400 metre individual medley events, [1] [4] finishing 17th in the 400 metre event in a time of four minutes 30.34 seconds. [5]
In 2015 he competed at the 16th FINA World Championships held in Kazan, Russia. He took part in the 100 metre and 200 metre butterfly, the 200 metre individual medley and swam the butterfly leg in the men's 4 × 100 metre medley relay. [1] He did not advance from the heats in any of his events finishing 47th in the 100 metre butterfly, [6] 33rd in the 200 metre butterfly, [7] 25th in the medley, [8] and 16th in the medley relay. [9]
At the 2016 New Zealand open swimming championships he broke the national record in the men's 200 metres individual medley in his heat, reaching the qualification standard for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the process. His finishing time of exactly two minutes was 28/100ths of a second under the qualifying time for the Olympics, and 0.3 seconds inside the previous national record set by Dean Kent in 2007. [10] He went on to win both the 200 metres individual medley and 200 meters backstroke events, finishing the backstroke final in a time of two minutes 1.40 seconds. [1] [11]

Vladimir Viktorovich Morozov is a retired Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic medalist. He is the former world record holder in the short course 100-metre individual medley, the current, World Cup record and Russian national record holder in the 100-metre individual medley and 100-metre freestyle, and Russian record holder in the 50-metre freestyle. Apostolos Christou is a Greek swimmer specializing in backstroke. He is the Greek National Record holder in the 100 metre freestyle and 50, 100, and 200 metre backstroke events, as well as contributing to national record efforts in the 4x100 metre freestyle and medley relays. He is a three-time Olympian, qualifying in 2016, 2021, and most recently 2024, where he became Greece's first Olympic medalist in swimming since the inaugural 1896 Games through his 2nd place finish in the 200 metre backstroke.
Evgeny Mikhailovich Rylov is a Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic champion specializing in backstroke events. He won three gold medals at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, and a bronze medal at his senior international debut at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan. He also won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, both were in the 200 metre backstroke event. In 2018, at the 2018 World Short Course Championships, he won gold medals in the 200 metre backstroke and 50 metre backstroke. At the 2019 World Championships, he won a gold medal in the 200 metre backstroke, silver medal in the 100 metre backstroke, and silver medal in the 50 metre backstroke. He won the gold medal in the 100 metre backstroke and 200 metre backstroke at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Michael Charles Andrew is an American competitive swimmer and an Olympic gold medalist. He was the 2016 world champion in the 100 meter individual medley. At his first Olympic Games, the 2020 Summer Olympics, he won a gold medal and set a world record as part of the 4x100 meter medley relay, placed fourth in the 100 meter breaststroke, fourth in the 50 meter freestyle, and fifth in the 200 meter individual medley. Andrew's swims in 2021 at the 2020 Olympics made him the first swimmer to represent the United States at an Olympic Games in an individual breaststroke event as well as another individual event other than an individual medley in the then-125-year-history of swimming at the Summer Olympics. He has won 78 medals at Swimming World Cup circuits.
Helena Gasson is a New Zealand Olympic swimmer representing her country at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Kaylee Rochelle McKeown is an Australian swimmer and quintuple Olympic gold medalist. She is the reigning Olympic champion in the 100 and 200 metres backstroke. She is the world record holder in the long course 50 metre backstroke, the short course 100 metre backstroke and both the long course and short course 200 metre backstroke. She won gold in both the 100 metre and 200 metre backstroke at both the 2020 and 2024 Olympics. In 2023, she was named as the "Best Female Swimmer of the Year" by World Aquatics, after sweeping gold in all three events of backstroke at all three World Cup legs, held in Berlin, Athens and Budapest in October, 2023.
Rebecca Meder is a South African swimmer. She is the African record holder in the 100 metre individual medley and the South African record holder in the long course and short course 200 metre individual medley. At the 2022 World Short Course Championships, she placed sixth in the final of the 100 metre individual medley. In the 200 metre individual medley at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she placed fourth in the final. At the 2021 African Championships, she won 11 gold medals, six in individual events and five in relay events, swimming on the finals relay for each of the five relay events.

Gianluca Urlando is an American competitive swimmer. As a sophomore in the NCAA for the Georgia Bulldogs at the 2022 NCAA Division I Championships, he became the first person to swim the 100 yard backstroke and 100 yard butterfly each in less than 44 seconds. At the 2019 World Junior Championships, he won gold medals in the 200 meter freestyle, 200 meter butterfly, 4×100 meter freestyle relay, 4×200 meter freestyle relay, and 4×100 meter mixed freestyle relay.
