Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava

1 November of every year is celebrated as Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava (Chhattisgarh Foundation Day) as on this date in the year 2000 Government of India officially declared it to be an independent state. [1] The mythological name of Chhattisgarh is Kaushal Rajya (the mother of Lord Shri Ram). [2] The President of India gave his consent to Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2000 on 25 August [3] and then Government of India set 1 November 2000 as the day Madhya Pradesh would be divided into Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Since then, the state government organises 5 days festival starting 1 November of every year in the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur. The first event was organised at Science College, Raipur & First Chief Guest was Sonia Gandhi but from 2004 the event took place at Rajyotsava Ground, Atal Nagar till 2018 & from 2019 again it organised at Science College, Raipur to till now.

The 3–5 days festival showcases a cultural extravaganza that depicts culture and tradition of Chhattisgarh and the role of tribes that the state inherit. The event has been witnessed by many political figureheads as well as Indian celebrities including Narendra Modi, [4] Pranab Mukharjee, [5] vocalist Sukhwinder Singh, Krishnkumar Kunnath [6] and many others.

Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held on 28 November 2018 to elect members of the 230 constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. Chhattisgarh embraces a diverse cultural and traditional practices in India. As the state government has taken meticulous steps to preserve the tribal culture, these festivals and the traditions are celebrated almost from the time of ancient India.

Raipur City Rural also known as Raipur Gramin is one of the 90 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Chhattisgarh state in India. The seat has formed after the demolition of Raipur Town Vidhansabha Constituency in 2008. It is in Raipur district and is a segment of Raipur.

Manoj Singh Mandavi was an Indian politician and a member of the 4th Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, elected from the Bhanupratappur constituency in the 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election. He was a member of the Indian National Congress.

Inter State Bus Terminal, Raipur officially Sri Balaji Swami Trust Sri Dudhadhari Math Inter State Bus Terminal also known as ISBT Bhatagaon is a newly constructed hi-tech bus stand situated in 25 acres at the Bhatagaon area of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Being the first ISBT in Chhattisgarh the bus terminal is the largest bus station in whole Central and Eastern India with a capability of 300 buses in a day with a number of facilities. Its an Interstate Bus terminal which caters bus services to passengers come from adjoining States like: Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, etc. The main purpose for the stand is to replace the Minimata Agam Dass Guru Bus stand, Pandri, as the stand was creating traffic problems and wasn't safe so this stand has been constructed at the outskirts of Raipur City. This terminal was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on 20 August 2021. Management of the Terminal started from 15 November 2021 after 2 months of inauguration on the occasion of Devotthan Ekadashi and after 28 years old Pandri Bus Stand is now closed.

Ram Van Gaman Path is the path that Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana took during their 'vanvaas' or exile years. It starts from Ayodhya and ends at Sri Lanka. This path is much revered in the Hindu religion as various key incidents of Lord Rama’s life have taken place on this path.
