The China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. (CPP) is a subsidiary of the China National Petroleum Corporation and the primary builder of pipelines in China. The company has built much of the cross-country pipeline infrastructure in China and had several large-scale projects abroad. [1]

In August 2018, China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, was accused of participating in corruption and money laundering involving 1MDB and then Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak. [5] The company denied allegations that it had diverted $2 billion in payments received to third-party companies in the Cayman Islands controlled by 1MDB. At the time, the project paid for by the Malaysian government, was only 13% incomplete, but the money paid corresponded with a project that was close to 80% complete. [6] In July 2019, Malaysian authorities seized $243.5M from China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering to compensate for the paid for but unfinished pipelines. [6]

It was set up in 1965 with the mandate of providing indigenous technology solutions across the hydrocarbon projects. Over the years, it has also diversified into synergic sectors like non-ferrous Metallurgy, Infrastructure, Water and Waste Water Management and Fertilizers.

Central Asia–China gas pipeline

The Central Asia–China gas pipeline is a natural gas pipeline system from Central Asia to Xinjiang in the People's Republic of China. By connecting Turkmenistan to China’s domestic grid, this pipeline makes it possible to transport gas some 7000 km from Turkmenistan to Shanghai. More than half of Turkmen natural gas exports are delivered to China through the pipeline.

The Eastern Siberia–Pacific Ocean oil pipeline is a pipeline system for exporting Russian crude oil to the Asia-Pacific markets. The pipeline is built and operated by Russian pipeline company Transneft.

The PetroDar Operating Company Ltd is a consortium of oil exploration and production companies operating in Sudan with its headquarters in Khartoum. The consortium was incorporated in the Virgin Islands on 31 October 2001. PetroDar is composed of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Petronas of Malaysia (40%), Sudapet of Sudan (8%), SINOPEC of China (6%), and Egypt Kuwait Holding Company through its subsidiary Tri-Ocean Energy of Kuwait (5%).

The Vankor Field is an oil and gas field in Russia, located 130 kilometres (81 mi) west of Igarka in the Turukhansk District of Krasnoyarsk Krai in Eastern Siberia, close to the border with Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Its estimated reserves are 520 million metric tons of oil and 95 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Production was launched in August, 2009. The field is operated by Russian national oil company Rosneft through its subsidiary Vankorneft.

The China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation is a construction engineering company that builds refineries, pipelines, and other oil and gas related infrastructure. It is a subsidiary of the China National Petroleum Corporation.

Habshan–Fujairah oil pipeline, also known as "Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP)", is an oil pipeline in the United Arab Emirates. It starts from the Habshan onshore field in Abu Dhabi and runs to Fujairah on the Gulf of Oman.

Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex

Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) is a megaproject development in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi District, Johor, Malaysia. It spans over an area of 80 km2 and will house oil refineries, naphtha crackers, petrochemical plants, liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals and a regasification plant upon completion.
