Choo Mantar is an upcoming 2025 Indian Kannada-language Horror Comedy movie directed by Navaneeth and produced by Tarun Shivappa under Tarun Studios banner. The film features Sharan, Meghana Gaonkar, Aditi Prabhudeva, Prabhu Mundkur, Chikkanna, Rajani Bharadwaj and others. [1] The main plot of the film is said to be around exorcism. [2]
Choo Mantar was announced in June 2022. The film was initially set to be released on 5 April 2024 but was postponed owing to production delays [3] [4]
Gowtham, a paranormal expert, along with his teammates Akanksha, RJ and Nakul decide to explore the possibility of finding a treasure supposedly hidden beneath a dreaded and haunted place called MORGAN HOUSE. The four of them are oblivious to the history of the place they are about to set foot in.
The film was announced and went on floors in June 2022. [5] Shooting took place in London, Sri Lanka, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Mysuru and Bengaluru. [2] Shooting was completed in record time by December 2022. [6] Sharan was reported to play the role of an paranormal expert. [7] Actor was reported to play a cameo role in the film. [8] The team also confirmed that the film will have a grand 50 minutes of VFX. [1] The film is said to have a hyperlinked narrative of three stories with a common factor binding them. [9]
The first look of the movie was released by Crazy Star V. Ravichandran on January 2, 2023. [10] [11] A special birthday teaser for the lead actor Sharan was released on 6 Feb 2023. [12]

The movie was initially set to be released on 5 April 2024 but was pushed further to May 10 and once again owing to production delays. However it was also reported that the makers were aiming for a pan Indian release. [14] [15] [16] [17]

Meghana Gaonkar is an Indian actress working in Kannada cinema. She made her acting debut in 2010, with the film Nam Areal Ond Dina. She has been nominated twice for Best Actress Filmfare Award. She has been nominated for IIFA award for her IPS officer role as DCP Deepa Kamath in Shivaji Surathkal 2. ChooMantar is her upcoming film with Sharan.
Chikkanna, is an Indian actor who works in Kannada cinema and appears primarily in comic roles. He made his debut in films with Kirataka (2011), following which he was recognized for his performances in Raja Huli (2013) and Adyaksha (2014). Chikkanna played the lead role for the first time in the film Upadhyaksha (2024).
