Darwin Turner, better known by his stage name Choppa, is an American rapper and singer.

History

His first album Choppa Style was released in 2001 by independent label Take Fo' Records. The eponymous single became a local New Orleans hit. [1]

In 2003 his second album, Straight from the N.O. , was released by Master P's No Limit Records. [1] It rose to number 54 on the US Billboard 200.

In 2004 he joined Roy Jones Jr.'s group Body Head Bangerz. [2] Jones's record label Body Head Entertainment released Choppa's third album Da Real Choppa in 2005 and his fourth Comin' Back Home in 2006.

In 2013 Choppa released his first mixtape, "choppa Style". [3] It was his first solo project in seven years.

Torence Ivy Hatch Jr., better known by his stage name Boosie BadAzz or simply Boosie, is an American rapper. Hatch began rapping in the 1990s as a member of the Southern hip hop collective Concentration Camp, eventually pursuing a solo career in 2000 with the release of his debut album Youngest of da Camp. After leaving the label the following year, he signed with Pimp C's Trill Entertainment to release his second studio album, For My Thugz (2002). One of the most prominent figures of Southern hip hop, Hatch has gone on to release thirteen solo studio albums, as well as seven collaborative albums and 44 mixtapes.

The Lox is an American hip hop trio composed of East Coast rappers Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss. Each hailing from Yonkers, New York, the group formed in 1994 and signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records two years later to release their debut studio album, Money, Power & Respect (1998). Despite critical and commercial success, the group parted ways with the label in favor of Ruff Ryders Entertainment in 1999, through which they released their similarly successful follow-up, We Are the Streets (2000).

Body Head Bangerz is a hip hop group based in Pensacola, Florida and formed by former heavyweight boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. Originally consisting of Jones, Magic, Choppa, Snappa, and Bone Crusher the current roster includes Jones, SM Bullet and Ms.Kandi.

"I Smoke, I Drank", also known as "Do It Big", is the lead single from Body Head Bangerz's debut album, Body Head Bangerz: Volume One. The original track features Lil' Boosie and Young Bleed but only the remix of the song, "I Smoke, I Drank (Remix)" featuring YoungBloodZ, charted. Though only the latter charted, it is often credited as simply "I Smoke, I Drank". This single, along with Body Head Bangerz's second single, "Can't Be Touched" featuring Trouble Tha Truth, helped the group earn widespread recognition among hip hop enthusiasts.

Bangerz is the fourth studio album by American singer Miley Cyrus, released on September 30, 2013, by RCA Records. It is her first body of original work since leaving Hollywood Records after her third studio album Can't Be Tamed (2010) and signing with RCA in early 2013. Cyrus began working on the album, and decided against prioritizing her acting career as originally stated, in 2012. From Dark to Light is the fourth mixtape by American rapper NLE Choppa. It was released through NLE Choppa Entertainment under license to Warner Records on November 1, 2020, the rapper's 18th birthday. The mixtape was announced in October of that year as Choppa explains the release date, cover art, and songs for the mixtape in an interview. It features guest appearances from Big Sean and Ink. The song "Bryson", which is named after his first name, was released as the mixtape's lead single, along with the music video. The mixtape's lyrical content is focused on meditation, affirmations, and positivity, a notable change from NLE Choppa's previous work.

Shiesty Season is the debut mixtape by American rapper Pooh Shiesty. It was released on February 5, 2021, through Atlantic Records and 1017 Records. The mixtape features guest appearances from Lil Durk, Gucci Mane, Big30, 21 Savage, Veeze, Foogiano, Lil Hank, Choppa Wop, and Tay Keith. The "Spring Deluxe" edition of the mixtape was released on May 21, 2021. It features additional guest appearances from G Herbo, No More Heroes, and Lil Baby. A "Certified" edition of the mixtape was released on April 29, 2022.
