Christopher James Taylor (born 31 July 1990) is an English television personality, known for his appearances as a contestant on the fifth series of Love Island (2019) and the spin-off Love Island: All-Stars (2024). He also had a cameo role in the Greta Gerwig film Barbie (2023).

Life and career

Christopher James Taylor was born on 31 July 1990 in Leicester, Leicestershire. [1] [2] [3] Prior to appearing on television, he worked as a business development manager. [4] In 2019, Taylor entered the Love Island villa on Day 37 of the fifth series. [5] [6] He was dumped from the series two weeks later alongside Harley Brash. [7] Later that year, Taylor and Brash appeared on a Love Island special of the ITV2 game show Supermarket Sweep , before announcing their split. [8] [9] Taylor went on to appear on a celebrity version of Dinner Date and was a guest on the game show Hey Tracey! . In 2021, he co-starred in the MTV series Living the Dream which focused on Taylor and his Love Island co-stars Michael Griffiths, Danny Williams and Jordan Hames moving in together. [10]

In 2023, Taylor appeared as Ken Emcee in the Greta Gerwig film Barbie . Taylor secured the cameo role after meeting Margot Robbie at an after party in which Robbie, who is a fan of Love Island, struck up a conversation with him. [11] [12] Following this, Warner Bros invited him to audition for the part. [13] [14] In 2024, Taylor returned to Love Island five years after his original appearance to compete in the spin-off series Love Island: All-Stars . He entered the villa as an original islander on Day 1, and was dumped on Day 26. [15]

Barbie is a 2023 fantasy comedy film directed by Greta Gerwig from a screenplay she wrote with Noah Baumbach. Based on the eponymous fashion dolls by Mattel, it is the first live-action Barbie film after numerous animated films and specials. Starring Margot Robbie as the title character and Ryan Gosling as Ken, the film follows them on a journey of self-discovery through Barbieland and the real world following an existential crisis. It is also a commentary regarding patriarchy and the effects of feminism. The supporting cast includes America Ferrera, Michael Cera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell.

Liberty Amor Poole is an English television personality. In 2021, she appeared on the seventh series of Love Island, and in 2022, she competed on the fourteenth series of Dancing on Ice. She has since appeared on the Love Islandspin-offs Love Island Games (2023) and Love Island: All-Stars (2024).

The eighth series of Love Island was broadcast from 6 June 2022 to 1 August 2022 on ITV2 with Laura Whitmore presenting the series and Iain Stirling narrating.

The first series of Love Island: All Stars is a spin-off of the dating game show Love Island featuring former contestants from previous series. It began broadcasting on 15 January 2024 with the launch episode airing across both ITV and ITV2 for the first time in the show's history. Maya Jama returned to present the series, with Iain Stirling again returning as narrator. The series is the shortest in the show’s history, ending after 36 days on 19 February 2024. It was won by Molly Smith and Tom Clare, who were previously contestants on the sixth and ninth series respectively.

The eleventh series of Love Island began broadcasting on 3 June 2024, with the launch episode airing across both ITV1 and ITV2. Maya Jama returned to present the series, as well as the companion show Love Island: Aftersun. Iain Stirling again returned as the show's narrator.

Love Island: All Stars is a spin-off of the dating game show Love Island featuring former contestants from previous series. It began airing on 15 January 2024 on ITV and ITV2. It is presented by Maya Jama and narrated by Iain Stirling. In May 2024, it was confirmed that the show would return for a second series due to air in 2025.
