Banten is the westernmost province on the island of Java, Indonesia. Its capital city is Serang and its largest city is Tangerang. The province borders West Java and the Special Capital Region of Jakarta on the east, the Java Sea on the north, the Indian Ocean on the south, and the Sunda Strait on the west and shares a maritime border with Bengkulu and Lampung to the east and Bangka Belitung Islands to the north. The province covers an area of 9,352.77 km2 (3,611.12 sq mi). It had a population of over 11.9 million in the 2020 census, up from about 10.6 million in 2010. The estimated mid-2023 population was 12.308 million. Formerly part of the province of West Java, Banten was split off to become a province on 17 October 2000.

Depok (Pegon:ديڤوك) is a landlocked city in West Java province. It is located directly south of Jakarta within the Jakarta Metropolitan Area in Indonesia. It has an area of 199.91 km2. It had a population of 1,738,600 at the 2010 census and 2,056,400 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 2,145,400, resulting in a density of 10,731.8 people per km2. Depok was created as a separate city on 20 April 1999, having previously been part of Bogor Regency. It constitutes the second most populous suburban city in Indonesia, and the tenth most populous suburban city globally.
The Jakarta metropolitan area or Greater Jakarta, known locally as Jabodetabekpunjur is the most populous megapolitan area in Indonesia. It includes the national capital as well as five satellite cities and three complete regencies. The original term "Jabotabek" dated from the late 1970s and was revised to "Jabodetabek" in 1999 when "De" was inserted into the name following its formation. The term "Jabodetabekjur" or "Jabodetabekpunjur" was legalised on the Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2008, and then the name "Jabodetabekpunjur" is officially used.

Located on the western border of Jakarta, it is the third largest urban centre in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area after Jakarta and Bekasi; the sixth largest city proper in the nation; and the largest city in Banten province. It has an area of 164.55 km2 (63.53 sq mi) and an official 2010 Census population of 1,798,601, which had risen to 1,895,486 at the 2020 Census – making it the eighth most populated suburb in the world at the latter date; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,912,679 - comprising 961,354 males and 951,325 females.
Bekasi is a city in West Java, Indonesia, located on the eastern border of Jakarta. It serves as a commuter city within the Jakarta metropolitan area. According to the 2020 Census by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bekasi had 2,543,676 inhabitants. The official estimate for mid 2023 was 2,627,207 - comprising 1,320,682 males and 1,306,525 females. It lies within the largest metropolitan area in Indonesia (Jabodetabek). The city is bordered by Bekasi Regency to the north and the east, Bogor Regency and Depok City to the south, and the city of East Jakarta to the west.
Tangerang Regency is a regency of Banten Province, Indonesia. It is located in the northwest of the island of Java. The current regent is Ahmed Zaki Iskandar. Though commonly misunderstood as being a part of Jakarta, Tangerang is actually outside Jakarta City but is part of Greater Jakarta. Since 1993, the regency has lost territory as first Tangerang city was split off on 27 February 1993 and subsequently South Tangerang city was split off on 29 October 2008. The residual Regency now has an area of 1,034.54 km2 and a population of 2,834,376 at the 2010 census, growing to 3,245,619 at the 2020 census; the latest official estimate is 3,309,365, reflecting a recent slowing down in the rate of population growth since 2020. The town of Tigaraksa is the regency seat.
Bogor Regency is a landlocked regency (kabupaten) of West Java province in Indonesia, situated south of DKI Jakarta. Covering an area of 2,991.78 km2, it is considered a bedroom community for Jakarta, and was home to 5,427,068 people at the 2020 census. The official estimate as at mid 2023 was 5,627,071. The town of Cibinong serves as the regency seat.
Serang is a city and the capital of Banten province and was formerly also the administrative center of Serang Regency in Indonesia. The city is located towards the north of Banten province, on the island of Java; the north part of the city contains the coast zone facing onto Banten Bay, and includes the historical site of Old Banten, after which the province is named. Before Banten province was formed in 2000, Serang city was part of West Java province.
Pondok Cabe Airport is a combined civilian and military airport in Pondok Cabe, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. The airport is owned by the state oil company Pertamina and operated by Pelita Air Service, which also owned Indopelita Aircraft Services that has a maintenance hangar at this airport. Pondok Cabe does not handle regular airline traffic. Other than serving as the Maintenance, repair and overhaul base for Pelita Air Service and PT. Indonesia Defence Services, the airport is also the home of the Aviation Wing of the Indonesian National Police, CASA 212 equipped- Multipurpose air squadron of the Indonesian Army and Naval Aviation (Puspenerbal) of Indonesian Navy as well as Portela Jaya Light-sport aircraft hangar.
Pamulang is a district (kecamatan) within the city of South Tangerang, Banten Province, Indonesia. The district covers an area of 26.82 km2 and had a population at the 2020 Census of 305,563.
Pondok Aren is a district in the city of South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. It is located on the south-western outskirts of Jakarta. The area covers 29.88 km2 and had a population at the 2020 Census of 294,996. Pondok Aren district mainly covers the area of Bintaro Jaya and borders South Jakarta to the east. Pondok Aren district office is located at Jl. Graha Raya Bintaro, Perigi Baru behind the Pondok Aren Sectoral Police office.
South Tangerang is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Located 30 km (19 mi) on the southwestern border of Jakarta, the city forms part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area. It was administratively separated from Tangerang Regency on 26 November 2008. According to the 2020 Census, the city population was 1,354,350 inhabitants, while the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 1,404,785 - comprising 700,754 males and 704,031 females. The total area is 164.85 km2 (63.65 sq mi). It is the second-largest city in Banten in terms of population, and has grown rapidly, not only as Jakarta's satellite city, but also the development of business districts and commerce due to presence of large-scale planned town by private developers.
Cisauk is a district located in the Tangerang Regency of Banten Province in Java, Indonesia. It covers an area of 27.77 km2 and had a population of 64,083 at the 2010 Census and 90,846 at the 2020 Census.
Indonesian National Route 12 is a relatively short, yet heavily used road in the national route system. It serves as one of the major arteries in the Jabodetabek region, as the road spans through areas considered as part of the metropolitan area itself. Despite its location, it spans through three provinces, that is Jakarta, Banten, and West Java, as the road itself connects Senayan, South Jakarta, Jakarta on the northern end, with Bogor, Bogor Regency, West Java in its southern end.
Sukmajaya is an administrative district in the city of Depok, in West Java province, Indonesia, within the Jakarta metropolitan area. It covers an area of 17.35 km2 and had a population of 232,308 at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate is 311,379. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Depok. Many housing areas and educational institutions are located in this district. Moreover Depok Dua Tengah and Depok Dua Timur are also located within the district. In addition, Pesona Square shopping mall is located in this district.
Cinere–Serpong Toll Road is one of the toll roads which are part of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road 2 which connects the Kunciran–Serpong Toll Road in the west and the Cinere–Jagorawi Toll Road in the east. This toll road that connects South Tangerang with Depok, crosses several areas, such as Jombang, Ciputat, Pamulang, Pondok Cabe and Cinere. The toll road is managed by PT Cinere Serpong Jaya (CSJ), the majority of whose shares are owned by PT Jasa Marga.
Beji is an administrative district in Depok, West Java, Indonesia, within the Jakarta metropolitan area. It covers an area of 14.56 km2 and had a population of 165,903 at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate is 222,372. The University of Indonesia, Gunadarma University and Bina Sarana Informatika and jakarta state polytechnic are located in this area.
