Yadgir City Municipal Council [1] or CMC Yadgir [2] [3] is mainly responsible for handling key responsibilities like supply of portable water, sanitation and public hygiene, public lighting, sustainable urban growth, regulation of building construction and licensing of commercial activities, etc.
With special reference to the sewerage system, the Yadgir Municipal Council is involved in:
(i) Operation and maintenance of proposed sewerage systems.
(ii) Construction and maintenance of Sewerage lines along the road and STP within municipal maintenance. [4] [5] [6]
Municipal Council was formed in 1954 as Town Municipal Council [7] [8] [9] [10] and later upgraded to City Municipal Council in 2015. [11]
Some records says that: "After the popular Minister took over a New Act called Hyderabad District Municipalities Act, 1956 was passed. Four city municipalities and six town municipalities were constituted. Under the New Act elections were held in 1960." [12]

Shimoga, officially known as Shivamogga, is a city and the district headquarters of Shimoga district in the central part of the state of Karnataka, India. The city lies on the banks of the Tunga River. Being the gateway for the hilly region of the Western Ghats, the city is popularly nicknamed as "Gateway of Malnad". The population of Shimoga city is 322,650 as per 2011 census. The city has been selected for the Smart Cities project, standing in the fourth position in the state and 25th in the country as of November 2020.
Kollur Mallappa, also referred as Malappa Lingappa Kollur was the first President of Hyderabad Pradesh Congress Committee, prior to the merger of Hyderabad state into Andhra Pradesh. Lumbini Park is a small public greenspace and urban park geographically located on an island in the lake Sanna Kere in the heart of Yadgir, Karnataka, India. Hattikuni Dam medium irrigation project in Yadgir district. this reservoir was constructed in 1960 to irrigate fields of the nearby villages. It is constructed across Hattikuni nala Motanalli village, the spilled water from the dam runs over stream via Hattikuni, Yeddalli, Bandalli and Chamanalli to Bhima river near Yadgir. The project is located near Yadgir Taluka and District.
