    CoRoT-27b is a gas giant exoplanet that orbits a G-type star. Its mass is 10.39 Jupiters, it takes 3.6 days to complete one orbit of its star, and is 0.0476 AU from its star. Its discovery was announced in 2014. [1]

    Host star

    CoRoT-27b orbits CoRoT-27 in the constellation of Serpens. It is a Sun-like G2V star with an effective temperature of 5,900 K (5,630 °C; 10,160 °F), a mass of 1.05 M, a radius of 1.08 R, and a near- or below-solar metallicity of −0.1±0.1. Its age is estimated at 4.21±2.72 Gyr. [1]

    CoRoT was a space telescope mission which operated from 2006 to 2013. The mission's two objectives were to search for extrasolar planets with short orbital periods, particularly those of large terrestrial size, and to perform asteroseismology by measuring solar-like oscillations in stars. Its inclination is not known, and its true mass may be significantly greater than the radial velocity lower limit of 0.36 Jupiter masses. The planet also has a low eccentricity, unlike most other long period extrasolar planets – 0.05 – about the same as Jupiter and Saturn in the Solar System. The exoplanet was found by using the radial velocity method, from radial-velocity measurements via observation of Doppler shifts in the spectrum of the planet's parent star.

    CoRoT-7b is an exoplanet orbiting the star CoRoT-7 in the constellation of Monoceros, 489 light-years from Earth. It was first detected photometrically by the French-led CoRoT mission and reported in February 2009. Until the announcement of Kepler-10b in January 2011, it was the smallest exoplanet to have its diameter measured, at 1.58 times that of the Earth and the first potential extrasolar terrestrial planet to be found. The exoplanet has a very short orbital period, revolving around its host star in about 20 hours.

    CoRoT-7 is a binary star system made up of a late G-type star and a M-dwarf star that was discovered in 2021. The primary star has three exoplanets, including CoRoT-7b, an super-Earth exoplanet that is remarkable due to its extremely high temperature and very short orbital period, around 20 hours. It was the first exoplanet shown to be rocky. The system has the name CoRoT-7 after the CoRoT space telescope, which discovered the exoplanets around the star CoRoT-7A. The stellar system is 520 light-years from the Earth.

    HAT-P-14b, officially named Sissi also known as WASP-27b, is an extrasolar planet located approximately 224.2 ± 0.6 parsecs (731.2 ± 2.0 ly) away in the constellation of Hercules, orbiting the 10th magnitude F-type main-sequence star HAT-P-14. This planet was discovered in 2010 by the HATNet Project using the transit method. It was independently detected by the SuperWASP project.

    Kepler-10b is the first confirmed terrestrial planet to have been discovered outside the Solar System by the Kepler Space Telescope. Discovered after several months of data collection during the course of the NASA-directed Kepler Mission, which aims to discover Earth-like planets crossing in front of their host stars, the planet's discovery was announced on January 10, 2011. Kepler-10b has a mass of 3.72±0.42 Earth masses and a radius of 1.47 Earth radii. However, it lies extremely close to its star, Kepler-10, and as a result is too hot to support life as we know it. Its existence was confirmed using measurements from the W.M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii.

    Kepler-62c is an approximately Mars-sized exoplanet discovered in orbit around the star Kepler-62, the second innermost of five discovered by NASA's Kepler spacecraft around Kepler-62. At the time of discovery it was the second-smallest exoplanet discovered and confirmed by the Kepler spacecraft, after Kepler-37b. It was found using the transit method, in which the dimming that a planet causes as it crosses in front of its star is measured. Its stellar flux is 25 ± 3 times Earth's. It is similar to Mercury.

    HIP 11915 b is an exoplanet orbiting the solar twin star HIP 11915 about 190 light-years (57 parsecs, or nearly 1.798×1015 km) from Earth in the constellation Cetus. It is notable as the first exoplanet to be discovered with an orbit and mass similar to that of Jupiter (essentially, a "Jupiter analog"), suggesting that its system may be similar to that of the Solar System. It orbits its star at a distance of approximately 4.8 AU. The exoplanet was found by using the radial velocity method, where periodic Doppler shifts of spectral lines of the host star suggest an orbiting object.

The exoplanet was found by using the transit method, in which the dimming effect that a planet causes as it crosses in front of its star is measured.
