Coconut is the second studio album by Japanese girl group NiziU. It was released on July 19, 2023, through Epic Records Japan. The album has 10 tracks including the lead single, "Coconut", and three previously released singles. In addition, there are four bonus tracks on the album's limited edition version B.
On May 10, 2023, JYP Entertainment announced that NiziU would release their second studio album, Coconut, on July 19. The title of the group's second Japanese tour, NiziU Live With U 2023 "Coco! nut Fes.", was announced at the same time. [1] The album's tracklist was revealed on June 18, including unit songs with lyrics written by the members (only included on limited edition B). [2] The lead single, "Coconut", was pre-released digitally on June 29 with an accompanying music video. The album, excluding bonus tracks, was pre-released digitally on July 5. [3] On July 19, the album was released in 12 physical versions: one normal version, two limited edition versions (A and B), and nine solo cover "WithU" versions. [1]
NiziU performed "Coconut" for the first time on TV Tokyo's summer music special, TV Tokyo Music Festival 2023 Summer, on June 28. [4] The album's second track, "Look at Me", was selected as the theme song for Nippon TV's drama series Kocchi Muite yo Mukai-kun. NiziU performed "Look at Me" on Nippon TV's music program, The Music Day, on July 1. [5] All songs from the album, except for "Take It", were performed during NiziU's second Japanese tour, which began July 1. Coconut debuted at number 1 on the weekly Oricon Albums Chart with 142,000 copies sold. This was the highest first week album sales for a female artist in 2023, [9] until it was surpassed by MiSaMo's Masterpiece the following week. [10] Coconut also topped the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart, selling 179,847 copies and 623 downloads. [11]

Japonism is the fourteenth studio album of the Japanese idol group Arashi. The album was released on October 21, 2015 under their record label J Storm in three editions: a first press/limited edition, a Yoitoko limited edition, and a regular edition. The first press edition comes with an 84-page photo lyrics booklet and bonus DVD with the music video and making-of for the album's lead track, "Kokoro no Sora". The Yoitoko limited edition comes with a 32-page lyrics booklet, and the regular edition comes with a 36-page lyrics booklet. The album sold over 820,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon charts for two consecutive weeks. With more than 1,000,000 copies sold, the album was certified for Million by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). On December 23, 2015, Oricon ranked Japonism as the best-selling album of 2015 in Japan. On February 27, 2016, Japonism was awarded Album of the Year in the 2016 Japan Gold Disc Awards.
Untitled is the sixteenth studio album by the Japanese idol group Arashi. With more than 750,000 copies sold, the album was certified Triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). It was released digitally on February 7, 2020.
Japanese boy band JO1 has released three studio albums, one video album, seven singles, thirty one promotional singles, and sixteen music videos with Lapone Entertainment. Yoasobi is a Japanese superduo formed in 2019 by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. It composed of Vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, under the moniker Ikura. Represented by the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released songs based on selected short stories posted on Monogatary.com, a social media website for creative writing operated by the label. Sources were later also come from various media like stories written by professional authors, books, letters, and plays, etc.
NiziU is a Japanese girl group formed by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment Japan. The group is composed of nine members: Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina. Naniwa Danshi (なにわ男子) is a Japanese boy band formed by Starto Entertainment on October 6, 2018. It consists of seven members who primarily come from the Kansai region. The group's official debut announcement was made on July 28, 2021, through their label Storm Labels. Their debut single, "Ubu Love", was released on November 12, 2021. Naniwa Danshi is the fourth Starto Entertainment group from the Kansai region after KinKi Kids, Super Eight, and West. to make an official debut. The name "Naniwa" refers to the old name of Osaka. In just 4 months they sold 1.14 million physical copies in Japan.
The Book 2 is the second Japanese-language extended play and third overall by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released on December 1, 2021, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan, eleven months after their debut EP The Book (2021). It consists of eight tracks, preceded by their all singles released in 2021, and included the new song "Moshi mo Inochi ga Egaketara".

Centered on a circus concept with hip hop, trap, rock, and pop elements, the EP consists of six tracks, preceded by the Japanese version of "Maniac", "Your Eyes", and the title track. "Shukufuku", alternatively titled "The Blessing" in English, is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi from their third extended play, The Book 3 (2023). It was released on October 1, 2022, by Sony Music Entertainment Japan, served as the opening theme of the first season of the Japanese mecha anime series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (2022). The song was based on the anime writer Ichirō Ōkouchi's novel Yurikago no Hoshi, depicting the perspective of XVX-016 Gundam Aerial to Suletta Mercury. "Shukufuku" reached number three on the Oricon Singles Chart and Combined Singles Chart, and number two on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, and was certified platinum for downloads and double platinum for streaming by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
"Koko ni wa Nai Mono" is a song recorded by Japanese idol girl group Nogizaka46. It was released as the group's thirty-first single on December 7, 2022, through N46Div. and Sony Music Records. First-generation member Asuka Saitō served as her eighth center position of the performance since the latest 2019 single "Sing Out!" and participated as her last single from the group. Its accompanying music video premiered ahead on November 19. Commercially, "Koko ni wa Nai Mono" reached number one on the Oricon Singles Chart and number two on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, and was certified million by Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
