The Colentina River is a left tributary of the river Dâmbovița in Romania. It discharges into the Dâmbovița near Cernica. It passes through the city of Bucharest and the villages and towns Călugăreni, Bălănești, Ghimpați, Ciocănești, Crevedia, Buftea, Mogoșoaia, Pantelimon and Cernica.

The lake has a length of 3 kilometers, a width between 50 meters and 400 meters, a surface area of 40 hectares, a depth between 1 meter and 3 meters, a volume of 630,000 cubic meters and a debit of 2.5 m/s.

Lake Fundeni is a man-made lake on the Colentina River in Bucharest, Sector 2. It has a surface of 350000 m², length of 2.1 km, width of 200-800 m and a depth between 1-5 meters.
