The College of Education Aizawl, also known as Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), is an institution for teacher training located in Republic Veng, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is affiliated with Mizoram University. [1]

College of Teachers Education was established in 1975 and was changed to Teachers Education Approval Board in 2005. [2] Mizoram University academic council accredited its M.Ed course in 2011. The National Council for Teachers Education upgraded it to Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE) in March 2012. [3] [4] The Chief Minister of Mizoram Pu Zoramthanga inaugurated the Mphil and Phd Studies in IASE on 9 October 2019. [5]

The Government Champhai College is a government university college associated with Mizoram University, located in Champhai, Mizoram, in India. Established as a private college in 1971 by the philanthropists of Champhai town and neighboring villages, the founders' objective was providing collegiate education to the students of this remote hilly tribal town near the international border of India with Myanmar.

The College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, one of the constituent colleges of the Central Agricultural University, was established through the promulgation of an ordinance and became functional with the admission of first batch of students to BVSc & AH degree course in the 1997. Mizoram Presbyterian ChurchSynod is the largest Christian denomination in Mizoram, northeast India. It was a direct progeny of the Calvinistic Methodist Church in Wales. It was the first church in Mizoram and is now one of the constituent bodies of a larger denomination Presbyterian Church of India (PCI), which has its headquarters in Shillong, Meghalaya. The administrative body called the Mizoram Synod has its headquarters at Mission Veng, Aizawl. As the first church, it remains the largest denomination in Mizoram.

Mizoram Law College is the only law college in the entire state of Mizoram.

Hrangbana College is located at Chanmari, Aizawl, Mizoram. Hrangbana College admits the most students in Mizoram: 850.

Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College is the only institution that offers purely science education in the State of Mizoram. It is graded A by NAAC and has students 911 currently studying in the college.

It was inaugurated on 7 August 2018 by the Chief Minister of Mizoram Lalthanhawla at Falkawn, about 16 km (9.9 mi) from Aizawl, Mizoram. ZMC is expected to meet the growing demand of Doctors in Mizoram.

Government Zawlnuam College is a college in Zawlnuam, Mamit district of Mizoram. The college is affiliated to Mizoram University. The College has only around 60 students.

Mizoram Engineering College is the only engineering college in the town of Lunglei, Mizoram.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Aizawl</span> Capital of Mizoram in India

Aizawl is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people.

Hnahthial district is one of the eleven districts of Mizoram state in India. The creation of Hnahthial District was first notified on 12 September 2008 but until 2020, it remained non-functional despite a number of promises made by top political leaders and an all-out effort by Hnahthial District Function Demand Committee to let the state government make it functional. Hnahthial district was made functional only 12 years later on 3 June 2019 with the creation of the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
