The Higher and Technical Institute Mizoram (HATIM) is the first residential co-educational college in Mizoram, India, which is undertaken by a Christian organisation namely, Baptist Church of Mizoram (BCM) and is located in Lunglei. HATIM was started in June 2007 as the first Christian College in Mizoram. HATIM is sponsored and promoted by the Baptist Church of Mizoram. [1] All courses under HATIM are affiliated to Mizoram University.

The school was founded in 2007 by the Baptist Church of Mizoram.

HATIM offers the following courses. [2] HATIM has the highest pass percentage among undergraduate colleges under Mizoram University. [3]

The Government Champhai College is a government university college associated with Mizoram University, located in Champhai, Mizoram, in India. Established as a private college in 1971 by the philanthropists of Champhai town and neighboring villages, the founders' objective was providing collegiate education to the students of this remote hilly tribal town near the international border of India with Myanmar.

Mizoram Presbyterian ChurchSynod is the largest Christian denomination in Mizoram, northeast India. It was a direct progeny of the Calvinistic Methodist Church in Wales. It is one of the two churches founded by the missionaries and is now one of the constituent bodies of a larger denomination Presbyterian Church of India (PCI), which has its headquarters in Shillong, Meghalaya. The administrative body called the Mizoram Synod has its headquarters at Mission Veng, Aizawl. As the first church, it remains the largest denomination in Mizoram.

Education in Mizoram consists of a diverse array of formal education systems ranging from elementary to university, from training institution to technical courses. The Government of India imposes mandatory education at least up to the basic level. For this public schools are made free of fees, and provided with free textbooks and school lunch.

Mizoram is one of the fastest growing economies among the states of India with a per capital income of Rs 308571. Mizoram had the second highest GSDP growth during the 11th Five Year Plan (2007–2012) in Northeast India at 11% exceeding the target of 7.8% which is also much higher than the national average of 7.9%. During the 10th Five Year Plan (2002–2007), the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) was expected to grow at around 5.3% but grew at 5.7%. The biggest contributors to GSDP growth are agriculture, public administration and construction work. Tertiary sector of service sector continued to have the contribution to the GSDP with its share hovering between 58% and 60% during the past half a decade.

J Thankima College is located at Bawngkawn, Aizawl, Mizoram. It is one of the top ranked college in Mizoram with NAAC A+ grade.

Lunglei Government College is the biggest college in the town of Lunglei, Mizoram. It is graded B++ by NAAC. Talks are underway now with UGC to set up Mizoram University campus in Lunglei Government College campus, thus making it a constituent college of Mizoram University like Pachhunga University College. The College has 1250 students and 63 Faculty.

Sêrkâwn is a village within Lunglei Administrative Block, Mizoram, India. It is continuous with Lunglei within 1 km area. It is 107 km from the state capital Aizawl. The place chosen by British missionaries, it is the home of Christianity and formal education in southern Mizoram. The oldest schools and hospital in southern Mizoram were established there. It still is the centre of administration of Baptist Church of Mizoram.

Aizawl, formerly known as Aijal, is the capital city and the most populous city of Mizoram, India. It is also the third largest city in northeast India.
