Mizoram is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo", the self-described name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which in the Mizo language means "land." Thus "Mizo-ram" means "land of the Mizos". Within India's northeast region, it is the southernmost landlocked state, sharing borders with three of the Seven Sister States, namely Tripura, Assam and Manipur. The state also shares a 722-kilometre (449 mi) border with the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Lunglei is a town, situated in the south-central part of Mizoram state, northeastern India. Lunglei, literally meaning 'bridge of rock' got its name from a bridge like rock found in the riverine area around Nghasih - a small tributary of Tlawng the longest river in Mizoram. It is the largest town after the capital, Aizawl, located 165 km (102 miles) south of Aizawl.

Moreover, the government degree college as the institute of higher education, are administered and controlled by the principal who serves as the head. Teachers are appointed through Public Service Commissions of central and state governments. The teachers appointed through the public service commissions are government servants with Group A post and are gazetted in nature. Education is the matter of concurrent lists in India; the government from the centre or from the states has the right to formulate law on higher education.
Government Saiha College is the only college in Saiha district of Mizoram, northeast India. It is the first college in southern Mizoram. It was established in 1978 as a result of public demand, and recognised by the Government of Mizoram in 1979. It started as only arts college. It was inaugurated on 7 August 2018 by the Chief Minister of Mizoram Lalthanhawla at Falkawn, about 16 km (9.9 mi) from Aizawl, Mizoram. Aizawl is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people.
