Combinatorial Theory operates on a diamond open access model, in which publication costs are underwritten by voluntary contributions from universities, foundations, and other organizations. Authors do not pay submission fees or article processing charges, and the journal belongs to the Free Journal Network. [3] All content is published under a Creative Commons license. [4]

The journal's editorial board consists of approximately 50 mathematicians, and includes Timothy Gowers and June Huh. [5] It follows a doubly-anonymous review process, in which author names are not disclosed to reviewers. [3]

Abstracting and indexing

The journal is abstracted and indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals, [6] the Free Journal Network, [7] Mathematical Reviews , [8] Zentralblatt Math, [9] and Scopus. [10]
