Connecting Stockholm AB is a future train operator that will commence operating the Stockholm Metro in Sweden in November 2025. It is a joint venture owned by Go-Ahead Group (55%) and ComfortDelGro (45%).
Connecting Stockholm was founded in 2022. [1] In January 2024 in was awarded the 11-year contract to operate the Stockholm Metro network. It will takeover from MTR. [2] [3] [4] After unsuccessful bidder Keolis launched a legal challenge, in October 2024 Region Stockholm awarded Connecting Stockholm a provisional two-year contract pending completion of the legal process that would commence on 2 November 2025 on similar terms to the original deal. On November 21, 2024, Region Stockholm finalised a permanent contract with Connecting Stockholm to run the Stockholm Metro. This decision followed the Court of Appeal's refusal to allow an appeal from Keolis on November 5, 2024. The contract is worth about 40 billion SEK (€3.5 billion), described as the largest non-military public procurement in the world. [6]
Connecting Stockholm will operate the Stockholm Metro for 11 years, starting on November 2, 2025. It will be responsible for tasks including operating the metro service, planning routes, managing staff, cleaning stations, providing passenger information, and maintaining the trains and depots. The agreement also includes incentives for good performance in areas like punctuality and customer satisfaction. [7]

The South Wales Metro is an integrated heavy rail, light rail and bus-based public transport services and systems network currently being developed in South East Wales around the hub of Cardiff Central railway station. The first phase was approved for development in October 2013. Works are currently under way, with a new depot under construction at Taff's Well and new trains being built by Stadler Rail in Switzerland. The development will also include the electrification of the core Valley Lines and new stations. All nine lines will be electrified, and the service is expected to be in operation by the end of 2024.
Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport, previously known as Sydney Metro Greater West, is a rapid transit rail project currently under-construction in Greater Western Sydney. The project involves the construction of a 23-kilometre (14 mi) line as part of the Sydney Metro system. The line will operate between St Marys, where the line will connect to the Main Western railway line, and Badgerys Creek Aerotropolis at Bradfield via the Western Sydney Airport. It is intended to provide public transport for the upcoming Western Sydney Airport. Construction of the line started in December 2022 and is expected to be completed in late 2026 in time for the opening of the airport.
Auckland One Rail is a train operator that commenced operating services under contract to Auckland Transport in January 2022. It is a 50/50 joint venture owned by Singapore-based ComfortDelGro and Australian-based UGL Rail. The operation is the first overseas heavy rail venture by a Singapore company, as well as ComfortDelGro's first in New Zealand. Officers of the business are Martin Kearney (CEO), Gavin Panter (COO) and TBC (CFO).
CDC NSW is a bus operator in New South Wales, Australia. It is an umbrella brand of ComfortDelGro Australia established in 2017 to cover the latter's New South Wales operations, some of which had been owned by ComfortDelGro since 2005. It was subsequently established as a legal entity (company) in 2019. Beginning from 2023, its Hillsbus, Forest Coach Lines and Blanch's Bus Company brands were phased out in favour of the CDC NSW brand.
