Coastal Liner is an Australian bus company operating services on the New South Wales Central Coast. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Australia.

History

Established in 1986 after the acquisition of the Dooralong to Wyong bus run from local operator James McElhinney, Coastal Liner commenced operating under its original business name of Dooralong Valley Bus Service. In 1988 owner Frank Caruna acquired the bus runs previously operated by Coast and Country (Len Robson), covering parts of Dooralong, Jilliby, Wyee and Warnervale, with the fleet increasing from two to three. Services

Coastal Liner operated services in the Outer Sydney Metropolitan Bus Service Region 11, [8] which originally used to be part of Region 6 when the latter was created in 2008. [9]

The Outer Sydney Metropolitan Bus Service Contracts (OSMBSC) are contracts issued by the Government of New South Wales to bus operators in areas surrounding Sydney. These regions include the Hunter Region, Central Coast, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains. In 2016-17, 21.6 million passenger journeys were made on Outer Metropolitan bus services.

Fleet

As of August 2019, the fleet consists of 29 buses and coaches. [4] Fleet livery is white, green and yellow. In 2014 new buses appeared in a variation to the Transport for NSW white and blue livery. [10]

Tuggerah railway station

Tuggerah railway station is located on the Main Northern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the northern Central Coast suburb of Tuggerah opening in 1890. A pair of passing loops were added north of the station in 1948. These were removed in December 1995. The station was rebuilt in the 1990s.
