Cophinopoda chinensis is a robber fly. It is an insect of the order Diptera, and has two wings. No subspecies are listed in the Catalogue of Life. [1]
Cophinopoda chinensis is found in Japan, South Korea, parts of China, India including the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia (Java and Sumatra). In Japanese, it is called 'aome-abu' (アオメアブ) which literally means 'blue-eyed horse-fly'.
It grows to a size of about 20–29 mm. The eyes are an iridescent greenish colour.

The common green magpie is a member of the crow family, roughly about the size of the Eurasian jay or slightly smaller. In the wild specimens are usually a bright green colour, slightly lighter on the underside and has a thick black stripe from the bill to the nape. Compared to the other members of its genus, the white-tipped tail is quite long. This all contrasts vividly with the red fleshy eye rims, bill and legs. The wings are reddish maroon.

Schisandra chinensis, whose fruit is called magnolia berry or five-flavor fruit, is a vine plant native to forests of Northern China, the Russian Far East and Korea. Wild varieties are also found in Japan. It is hardy in USDA Zone 4. The fruits are red berries in dense clusters around 10 centimetres (3.9 in) long.

Sablicola is a fungal genus in the family Halosphaeriaceae. It is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Sablicola chinensis, described as new to science in 2004. This is a marine fungus that was collected from brackish water in the Pearl River Estuary in southern China. It features ascospores that have two polar and four equatorial, flattened, attenuate, strap-like appendages with parallel striations. These striations break down into fine threads when mounted in seawater.
Polistes chinensis is a polistine vespid wasp in the cosmopolitan genus Polistes, and is commonly known as the Asian, Chinese or Japanese paper wasp. It is found in East Asia, in particular China and Japan. The subspecies P. chinensis antennalis is an invasive species in New Zealand, having arrived in 1979.

Rosa × odorata or Rosa odorata is a hybrid flowering plant of the genus Rosa native to Yunnan in southwest China, whose taxonomy has been confused. It has been considered a hybrid of Rosa gigantea and Rosa chinensis, or as a quite rare wild species that includes R. gigantea. The wild forms are cultivated to some extent. Cultivars were developed in China in ancient times from R. chinensis crosses, and these have been important in the ancestry of the tea-scented China roses, also called tea roses, and their descendants the hybrid tea roses.

Coleosporium asterum is a species of rust fungus in the family Coleosporiaceae. It infects species in the Asteraceae family, such as those in genus Aster and Solidago, as well as the needle pines Pinus contorta and P. banksiana. It has been recorded on aster family species Canadanthus modestus, Eurybia conspicua, Solidago missouriensis, Symphyotrichum ciliolatum, S. laeve, and numerous others.
