The Syracuse Orange are the athletic teams that represent Syracuse University. The school is a member of NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Coast Conference. Until 2013, Syracuse was a member of the Big East Conference.

David F. Hoy Field, usually referred to simply as Hoy Field, was a baseball field at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. It was home to the Big Red baseball team from 1922 to 2022, when the team moved to a newly constructed facility east of campus, Booth Field. The former Hoy Field was demolished in 2023 to make way for a new building for the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science.

The Cornell Big Red men's basketball team represents Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York, in NCAA Division I men's competition. The Big Red's appearance in the 2008 NCAA Tournament was their first trip to "The Big Dance" since 1988, ending a 20 year absence from the tournament. The team has reached the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament five times, in 1954, 1988, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Cornell’s best finish in the NCAA tournament occurred in 1954 and 2010 when they advanced to the Sweet 16. Jon Jaques is the current head coach.

Bill Walkenbach is an American college baseball coach, currently the head coach of Division III Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Previously, he was the head coach at Cornell from 2009 season to 2015 season and at Franklin & Marshall from 2006 to 2008. Walkenbach led both of these schools to an NCAA tournament appearance.

Led by fifth-year head coach Bob Blackman, the Big Red compiled an overall record of 3–7 with a mark of 2–5 in conference play, tying for fifth place in the Ivy League. Cornell played home games a Schoellkopf Field in Ithaca, New York.
