The Cornell Big Red baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, United States. [2] The team is a member of the Ivy League, which is part of NCAA Division I. Cornell's first baseball team was fielded in 1869 and participated in the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League (EIBL) until 1992. Since 2023, the team plays its home games at Booth Field in Ithaca, New York, following 101 years at Hoy Field.
David "Davy" F. Hoy, an alumnus and longtime university registrar, served as the university's baseball advisor for thirty years at the start of the 20th century. [3] He traveled south with the team for spring training each year. [3] Hoy baseball field was built at his urging in 1922, [4] and named for him in 1923. [3] Hoy threw out the first pitch on the field; the ball he used is preserved in the Kroch Library collections. [4] Hoy was injured in a 1929 bus accident in Virginia while riding with the baseball team, and he died in December 1930 at age 67. [4] Cornell's fight song, Give My Regards to Davy references "Davy" Hoy prominently. [4]

"Give My Regards to Davy" is Cornell University's primary fight song. The song's lyrics were written in 1905 by Cornell alumni Charles E. Tourison (1905), W. L. Umstad (1906), and Bill Forbes (1906), a trio of roommates at Beta Theta Pi, and set to the tune of George M. Cohan's "Give My Regards to Broadway".

Schoellkopf Field is a 21,500-capacity stadium at Cornell University's Ithaca campus that opened in 1915 and is used for the Cornell Big Red football, sprint football and lacrosse teams. It is located just north of Cascadilla Creek on the southern end of the campus, next to Hoy Field and Lynah Rink; Schoellkopf Memorial Hall, adjacent to the stadium, contains the Robison Hall of Fame Room, the hall of fame for Cornell athletics.
David F. Hoy Field, usually referred to simply as Hoy Field, was a baseball field at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. It was home to the Big Red baseball team from 1922 to 2022, when the team moved to a newly constructed facility east of campus, Booth Field. The former Hoy Field was demolished in 2023 to make way for a new building for the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science.

The Cornell Big Red men's basketball team represents Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York, in NCAA Division I men's competition. The Big Red's appearance in the 2008 NCAA Tournament was their first trip to "The Big Dance" since 1988, ending a 20 year absence from the tournament. The team has reached the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament five times, in 1954, 1988, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Cornell’s best finish in the NCAA tournament occurred in 1954 and 2010 when they advanced to the Sweet 16. Jon Jaques is the current head coach.
The Red Foxes are the athletic teams of Marist College. The Marist Red Foxes compete in NCAA Division I athletics as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) the only exception being football, a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL).
The Harvard Crimson baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of Harvard University, located in Boston, Massachusetts. The program has been a member of the Ivy League since the conference officially began sponsoring baseball at the start of the 1993 season. The team plays at Joseph J. O'Donnell Field, located across the Charles River from Harvard's main campus. Bill Decker has been the program's head coach since the 2013 season.

The Cortland Red Dragons are composed of 23 teams representing the State University of New York at Cortland in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, and track and field. Men's sports include baseball, football, and wrestling. Women's sports include field hockey, golf, gymnastics, volleyball, tennis, and softball. Bill Walkenbach is an American college baseball coach, currently the head coach of Division III Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Previously, he was the head coach at Cornell from 2009 season to 2015 season and at Franklin & Marshall from 2006 to 2008. Walkenbach led both of these schools to an NCAA tournament appearance.

It was Dartmouth's first Championship Series victory, coming in their fifth appearance.
