The School was established in February 1960, [10] [11] [12] and exercises a British and Nigerian curriculum. [13] [14] The school is also a member of the schools rugby league in Lagos, [15] and one of Zenith Bank's Swimming competitors. [16]

The school admits only male students although historically some female HSC students were admitted before the establishment of Queen's College Lagos, popularly known as King's College's sister school. King's College conducts exams for the West African School-Leaving Certificate and the National Examinations Council.

Lagos State University, also known as LASU, is located in Ojo, with sub-campuses at Ikeja and Epe both towns in Lagos State, Nigeria. The university was established in 1983 by the enabling law of Lagos State, for the advancement of learning and establishment of academic excellence; its motto being For Truth and Service. Rebuild Lagos Trust Fund is a not-for-profit public-private partnership incorporated on 26 April 2021 as a company limited by guarantee tasked to rebuild, restore or preserve Lagos State public facilities marred by degradation, vandalization and damage through natural or human causes. Emmanuel Aniefiok Iren well known as Emmanuel Iren is a Nigerian preacher and gospel songwriter. He is the Founder of Celebration Church International (CCI), headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. In 2018, he debuted his first album Kerygma and in 2022, he released his second album Apostolos:Voice of Transition.
