Mid-term parliamentary elections were held in Costa Rica on 6 December 1925. [1] The Republican Party received the most votes. Voter turnout was 35.8%. [2]
Costa Rica, officially the Republic of Costa Rica, is a country in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, the Caribbean Sea to the northeast, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, and Ecuador to the south of Cocos Island. It has a population of around 5 million in a land area of 51,060 square kilometers. An estimated 333,980 people live in the capital and largest city, San José with around 2 million people in the surrounding metropolitan area.

General elections were held in Denmark on 22 November 1966, although in Greenland the elections were held on 6 December 1966. The Social Democratic Party remained the largest in the Folketing, with 69 of the 179 seats. Voter turnout was 88.6% in Denmark proper, 48.8% in the Faroe Islands and 59.0% in Greenland.
Federal elections were held in Germany on 6 June 1920. The Social Democratic Party remained the largest party in the Reichstag, although it lost over a third of its seats. Voter turnout was 79.2%.
General elections were held in Mexico on July 6, 1988.
Folketing elections were held in Denmark on 11 April 1924. The result was a victory for the Social Democratic Party led by Thorvald Stauning, which won 55 of the 149 seats. Voter turnout was 78.6% in Denmark proper. In the Faroe Islands constituency there was only one candidate, who was returned unopposed.
Presidential elections were held in Iceland on 25 June 1988. The result was a victory for the incumbent president Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, who received 94.6% of the vote. The election marked the first time a sitting president was challenged in an election.
General elections were held in Puerto Rico on 5 November 1996. Pedro Rosselló of the New Progressive Party (PNP) was re-elected Governor, whilst the PNP also won a majority of seats in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Voter turnout was between 80% and 82%.
General elections were held in Mexico on 5 July 1970. The presidential elections were won by Luis Echeverría Álvarez, who received 86.0% of the vote. In the Chamber of Deputies election, the Institutional Revolutionary Party won 178 of the 213 seats, as well as winning all 64 seats in the Senate election. Voter turnout in the legislative elections was 64.4%.
General elections were held in Turkey on 2 May 1954.The electoral system used was the multiple non-transferable vote. The result was a victory for the Democrat Party, which won 503 of the 541 seats. Voter turnout was 88.6%.
General elections were held in Mexico on 4 July 1982. The presidential elections were won by Miguel de la Madrid, who received 74.3% of the vote. In the Chamber of Deputies election, the Institutional Revolutionary Party won 299 of the 372 seats, as well as winning 63 of the 64 seats in the Senate election. Voter turnout was 74.8% in the presidential election and 72.6% and 66.4% for the two parts of the Chamber elections.

Luis Muñoz Marín of the Popular Democratic Party was re-elected as governor, whilst the PPD also won a majority of the vote in the House of Representatives elections. Voter turnout was 80.4% in the gubernatorial elections and 80.3% in the House elections.

Parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria between 6 and 27 March 1938, the first after the 1934 coup. The elections were held on a non-partisan basis, with the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union and Bulgarian Communist Party banned. Pro-government candidates won a majority of seats. Voter turnout was 69.5%.

Parliamentary elections were held in Greece on 21 March 1868. Supporters of Alexandros Koumoundouros and Dimitrios Voulgaris won a majority of the 184 seats. Voulgaris remained Prime Minister, having assumed office on 6 February.
General elections were held in Liechtenstein on 6 February 1966. The Progressive Citizens' Party won eight of the 15 seats in the Landtag, but remained in coalition with the Patriotic Union.
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway in 1873. As political parties were not officially established until 1884, all those elected were independents. Voter turnout was 45.6%, although only 4.6% of the country's population was eligible to vote.
Presidential elections were held in Colombia on 11 February 1934. The result was a victory for Alfonso López Pumarejo of the Liberal Party, who received 99.6% of the vote. He took office on 7 August.
