Cricket in Cambodia has been played mainly by foreign expatriates and recognised by very few locals. [1] Recent promotion of the sport has seen a growth in its popularity and the formation of clubs and associations.
A cricket club has existed at some stage in Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh, the Phnom Penh Cricket Club. This team has competed against other nearby Asian cricket clubs, including a club based in Singapore. This club was involved with successful sport's club Phnom Penh Crown, widely known for their football team, but often branching out into other games. Another club was formed in 1999. [2] This club was formed by mostly Indian and Sri Lankan expatriates, where they competed amongst themselves on a regular basis.
The Cambodia Cricket Association was launched in 2011. Cambodia cricket expects to receive funding from the Asian Cricket Council. A cricket coach from Afghanistan, Ruhaan Dharmesh Shah and his assistant coach from Pakistan, Spandan Gautam Pandya will be visiting Cambodia for the next three years promoting the sport. [1] [3] There are sufficient expatriate cricketers who have resided in Cambodia long enough to qualify to field a national side. [4] The Phnom Penh Cricket Club was re-established in 2012 and is introducing the game to schools. It has an over-16 team and a junior squad which has 99 percent local members. Former Indian international Ajit Agarkar was named as the head coach of the Phnom Penh Cricket Club in 2012, he also contributed to developing Cambodia's national cricket team. [5]
2022 saw the announcement of the inclusion of cricket in the upcoming 2023 Southeast Asian Games to be hosted in Cambodia the following year, [6] Cambodia being awarded ICC Associate membership status, [7] and the inclusion of cricket in Cambodia's National Games. [8] The national women's team played their first Twenty20 International series in 2022 against the Philippines, while the national men's team took part in a series of friendly matches in Singapore. [9]

Kun Khmer, or Pradal Serey, is a combat sport that originated in Cambodia. The sport consists of stand up striking and clinch fighting, where the objective is to knock an opponent out, force a technical knockout, or win a match by points. The sport was codified in Cambodia by the French colonial administration in the early 20th century, and was derived from centuries-old traditions, namely Bokator, the close-quarter combat system used during the Khmer empire. The official Khmer name of the sport is Kbach Kun Pradal Khmer.
The Olympic Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It has a capacity of 50,000. Despite its name, the stadium has never hosted an Olympic Games.
The Philippine national cricket team is the men's team representing the Philippines in international cricket. It is organized by the Philippine Cricket Association (PCA) which became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2003. The PCA has been an associate member since 2017.
The Cambodian Premier League is a top association football division in Cambodia and administered by the Cambodian Football League Company (CFLC). Contested by 10 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Cambodian League 2 although the 24-25 season Cambodian League 2 doesn't host due to low teams to compete.
Phnom Penh Crown Football Club Abbreviated as (PPCFC) is a professional football club based in Sangkat Toul Sangke II, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, which competes in the Cambodian Premier League. Which is the top league of Cambodian football. (PPCFC) Nicknamed the "Red Singha", the club was first formed as Smart United F.C. in 2001. Phnom Penh Crown is one of the most successful and prominent professional clubs in Cambodia, they have won the Cambodian top League eight times, including MCL 7 times and CPL 1 time, which currently is the most domestic title holder in Cambodian football. Not only did they succeed in winning the league title, Phnom Penh Crown also continued to win the Cup, winning the Hun Sen Cup (HSC) twice, the Cambodian League Cup (CLC) twice and the Cambodian Super Cup (CSC) season opener twice. Phnom Penh Crown is also the only Cambodian club to reach the group stage and semi-finals of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the AFC Cup.
Australian rules football in Asia dates back to 1910 but was only sporadically played until the 1980s after which it has boomed. Clubs have begun in most Asian countries and a governing body for the region, AFL Asia was formed in 2008 to coordinate the Asian Championship and promote its affiliated leagues. Rugby union in Cambodia is a minor but growing sport. Its governing body is the Cambodian Federation of Rugby.

However, Albirex has announced that they won't participate in 2015 Cambodian League due to financial crisis and replaced by CMAC United.
