D'MASIV is an Indonesian rock band which based in Jakarta. It consists of 5 members: Rian Ekky Pradipta (vocal), Dwikky Aditya Marsall (guitar), Nurul Damar Ramadhan (guitar), Rayyi Kurniawan Iskandar Dinata (bass), and Wahyu Piadji (drums). D'MASIV name later aligned with the bands "Top" of Indonesia such as Ungu, Nidji, or Peterpan (now known as Noah) because of the popularity of their songs. [1]

History

D'Masiv was formed on March 3, 2003. D'Masiv's name is derived from the English word "massive" as a hope to be able to achieve the best possible results in the national music scene. [5] Their names began to soar after winning the competition music A Mild Live Wanted in 2007. D'Masiv released their first album titled Perubahan in 2008 with the song "Cinta Ini Membunuhku" as its flagship song. The song was so popular that more and toss their name in the national music scene. [1] At the end of 2008, d'Masiv makes containers for his fans association with the names Masiver. [6]

In November 2009, d'Masiv released the new EP which contains two songs titled "Minta Ampun Aku" and "Jangan Menyerah". According to Rian, vocalist for d'Masiv, making mini-albums released this very brief and to welcome the month Ramadan which falls in mid-August 2009. [7]

Slank is an Indonesian rock band. It was founded in 1983 by teenagers in an alley street in Jakarta called Gang Potlot. The band is known for songs which are often accompanied with political and socially conscious lyrics. It continues to be active and has received many awards from the Indonesian music industry. Along with God Bless and Dewa 19, they are dubbed as one of the greatest rock bands in the history of Indonesian popular music. The name Slank was inspired by friends who often called them "slengean guys". Slank is an abbreviation of the word "slenge'an" and changes the letter G to K to improve the aesthetic. All personnel have compromised to agree on this naming. In making music, Slank voices his concern for music and the interests of all levels of society in Indonesia.

Nidji is an Indonesian rock band based in Jakarta. Formed in February 2002, Nidji's name comes from the Japanese word niji (虹), meaning "rainbow". The band's music can be classified under the alternative pop genre, and the band has cited Coldplay and The Killers as major influences. The band currently consists of Yusuf Ubay (vocals/saxophone), Andro Regantoro (bass), Randy Danistha (keyboards/synthesizers), Ramadhista Akbar and Andi Ariel Harsya (guitars), and Adri Prakarsa (drums).

The 2009 Dahsyatnya Awards was an awards show for Indonesian musicians. It was the first annual show. The show was held on April 19, 2009, at the Ancol Dome Carnaval Beach in Pademangan, North Jakarta. The awards show was hosted by Luna Maya, Raffi Ahmad, and Olga Syahputra.

The 5th Annual Indonesian Movie Awards was held on May 10, 2011, at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, Central Jakarta. The award show was hosted by Okky Lukman and Choky Sitohang. And the nominations have been announced for the category of Favorite, which will be chosen by the public via SMS. As for the category of Best, will be selected by a jury that has been appointed. As a guest star who will fill the event, among them Afgan, Wali, Petra Sihombing, Nidji, D'Masiv, etc.

"Separuh Aku" is a song by Indonesian rock band Noah. It was written by Noah's keyboardist David and their additional bassist Ihsan, for their first album after their name change, Seperti Seharusnya. It was released on 3 August 2012 as the album's first single.
