Daijon Cotty Davis [1] (born August 3, 1999), known professionally as DC the Don, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. [2] He is recognized for mixing elements of hip-hop, rock, and melodic rap in his music. Prior to his rap career, Davis played high school basketball, alongside NBA star LaMelo Ball, as they both participated in the sports program at Chino Hills High School in Chino Hills, California. Davis' musical journey and basketball past remain intertwined, both contributing to his position in the entertainment industry.
Davis started writing songs at 8 years old. He recalls dancing to tracks from American singer Michael Jackson during his youth. During his teens, he played basketball with the Amateur Athletic Union, alongside future NBA player LaMelo Ball, [3] and his brothers Lonzo and LiAngelo Ball. [5] In 2018, Daijon Davis graduated from Chino Hills High School and was listed as a 3-star recruit by ESPN. [7]
In October 2017, Davis released his single, "Everything 1K" which caught the attention of NBA player Lonzo Ball. Davis recalled making the song in ten minutes during an interview with The Source. [8] In February 2019, he released his single "3AM Freestyle" on the WorldStarHipHop YouTube channel. [9] Davis signed to family owned Run Music LLC, but after label issues arose Davis began his departure from Run Music in 2019, starting the hashtag "FREE DC" to draw attention to the feud. He was released from his contract in 2020, and subsequently signed to Rostrum Records who he continues to work with today. Later that year, Davis' track "Worst Day" (Stylized as WORST DAY :() gained traction after its release on the deluxe version of his debut album, Come As You Are. [5] In the latter of 2021, he released two singles, being "Notice Me" [4] and "What Now?". [10] In January 2022, he was scheduled to perform alongside frequent collaborator Sad Frosty in Houston, Texas, but was unable due to Frosty passing away in the days preceding the performance. [11] In February 2022, he released a single titled "PSA" as the final single for his sophomore album, My Own Worst Enemy. [2] [12] In August 2022, he appeared on American rapper yvngxchris' album Virality on the track "QuikkSkope". [13] In October 2022, he released a single with American rapper midwxst titled "Suicide". [14] On February 23, 2023, DC The Don announced he was going on tour with notable artist $NOT. In May 2023, Davis released his third studio album, Funeral, and was later featured as the 10th Freshman on the 2023 XXL Freshman List.

Percy Robert Miller, better known by his stage name Master P, is an American rapper, record producer, record executive, actor and entrepreneur. He founded the record label No Limit Records in 1991, which was relaunched into the spin-off labels New No Limit Records and No Limit Forever Records. Miller gained fame in the mid-1990s as the lead and founding of the label's hip hop group TRU, as well as his fifth solo album, Ice Cream Man (1996), and its namesake lead single. His 1997 single, "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" received platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
World Class Wreckin' Cru was an American electro group, during the 1980s in the Los Angeles area, that contributed to rap's development. Two of its members, Dr. Dre and DJ Yella, attained greater fame as members of N.W.A, which pioneered gangsta rap. A song by the Cru had also featured R&B singer Michel'le.

The Hrsmn is an American hip hop supergroup consisting of the artists Canibus, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, and Kurupt. They have released two albums. The name of the group is in reference to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who appear in the Book of Revelation from the Bible. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are traditionally named Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Throughout the HRSMN songs, there are many references to each of the members representing a specific entity. They are Pestilence, War (Canibus), Famine (Kurupt), and Death. They have each frequently appeared on each of the members solo albums, such as Canibus's 2000 B.C. and Killah Priest's Priesthood. Pharoahe Monch was also closely affiliated, acting as the hype man on the leaked "I'm a Horseman (Promo)" and rapping on "Horsemen" from Canibus's 2000 B.C. . In August 2000, Canibus listed Monch as the fifth member of the group, though further releases in subsequent years would not include or reference him.
Cameron Jibril Thomaz, better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and entrepreneur from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He signed with the local independent label Rostrum Records to release his debut studio album, Show and Prove (2006). His contract entered a short-lived joint venture with Warner Bros. Records the following year. His Eurodance-influenced 2008 single, "Say Yeah" received urban radio airplay and entered both the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Songs charts, becoming his first minor hit.

Miller's debut studio album, Blue Slide Park (2011), became the first independently distributed debut album to top the US Billboard 200 since 1995.

Lonzo Anderson Ball is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A point guard, he played college basketball for one season with the UCLA Bruins, earning consensus first-team All-American honors before the Los Angeles Lakers selected him with the second overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2018.

"Melo Ball 1" is a rap single by American professional basketball player Lonzo Ball, featuring singer Kenneth Paige. Released on September 8, 2017, it is Ball's first official song and is about his younger brother LaMelo Ball and his signature Big Baller Brand shoe, the Melo Ball 1 (MB1). A segment of the song first appeared in a video published by SLAM magazine that debuted the MB1 shoes. The song was produced by 80's Baby Entertainment, Inc. under his family-owned record label Big Baller Music Group.

He rose to popularity within the early months of 2021 with his hit singles "14" and "Antisocial" which gained traction throughout TikTok and SoundCloud. He then later signed to his first major label Galactic — a subsidiary of Republic Records within the late months of 2021.

Milwaukee hip hop is a regional subsect of American hip hop specific to the state of Wisconsin, and its largest urban center, Milwaukee in particular. The genre is said to have came to prevalence in the hip hop community in the early 1990s, with the alternative-rap group Arrested Development's success at the 35th Annual Grammy Awards, including the Best New Artist Award. Another notable event would be the release of Milwaukee native Coo Coo Cal's #1 Billboard Hot Single "My Projects" in 2001. Milwaukee hip hop made a resurgence in the 2010's and can be considered to belong to the larger Midwest hip hop and drill scenes.
