Edgar Nathaniel Sarratt III [3] (born June 5, 2003), known professionally as Midwxst (stylized as midwxst), is an American rapper and singer. He is signed to Geffen Records. He released several extended plays between 2020 and 2022, and his debut album E3 released on September 1, 2023

Early life

Sarratt was born in Columbia, South Carolina. His father worked in the Air Force, and his mother worked as a Human Resources Executive, he also has an older sister. Saratt was diagnosed with ADHD when he was young. He attended Park Tudor School for High School. [1] Saratt joined the Park Tudor School band and started making music as early as his sophomore year in High School.

Musical style and influences

Sarratt's musical style has been described as hyperpop. [4] [5] He grew up listening to Kanye West, TLC, Aaliyah, and Beyoncé from his mother, while his father listened to hip hop. Sarratt cites Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, Spitalfield, KT Tunstall, XXXTentacion, Porter Robinson, and Pi'erre Bourne as music influences.

E3 is the debut studio album by American rapper and singer Midwxst, released on September 1, 2023, by Geffen Records. The album consists of pop-trap, notably softer than Midwxst's previous work. It was preceded by two singles, "Pretty Girls" and "Warning".

<i>Back in Action</i> (EP) 2021 EP by Midwxst

Back in Action is the third extended play (EP) by the American singer and rapper Midwxst. It was released by Simple Stupid and Geffen Records on September 21, 2021. Since emerging in the 2020 digicore scene, he released two extended plays and signed with Geffen in June 2021. He had the goal of creating a more rap-focused release so he could play the music at his live shows to encourage mosh pits and having fun. Inspired by a variety of musicians, he produced the EP along with a variety of record producers. It also contains guest appearances from Tana, Slump6s, Ericdoa, and Kashdami.
