Darshan is an Indian actor and film producer known for his work in Kannada cinema. [1] He is the son of actor Thoogudeepa Srinivas. Darshan initially worked in trivial roles in few films and television serial's, later made his debut in a lead role in 2001 film, Majestic , and has since then starred in many commercial and critical hit films such as Kariya (2003), Namma Preethiya Ramu (2003), Kalasipalya (2004), Gaja (2008), Saarathi (2011), Chingari (2012) Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (2012), Bulbul (2013), Ambareesha (2014), Mr. Airavata (2015), Tarak (2017), Yajamana (2019) and Kurukshetra (2019).

Hemanth Kumar, better known by his stage name Darshan Thoogudeepa or simply Darshan, is an Indian actor, film producer and distributor who works predominantly in Kannada films. In 2017, he was the highest paid actor in Kannada cinema. Darshan established the production house Thoogudeepa Productions in 2006. Its first production was Jothe Jotheyali, with Darshan in a special appearance. His performances in Anatharu (2007) and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (2012) won him praise from critics; his performance in the latter as the 19th-century warrior Sangolli Rayanna won him the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor.

Amulya is a former Indian actress who appears in Kannada films. She made her debut as a child artist in the early 2000s and appeared in a lead role in 2007 with Cheluvina Chittara. She has established herself as one of the popular actress in the kannada industry at a very young age.she is best known for her roles in the commercially successful films Chaitrada Chandrama (2008), Naanu Nanna Kanasu (2010) and Shravani Subramanya (2013).

V. Harikrishna is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer, playback singer and film producer. He has mainly scored music for Kannada films. After his stint as a programmer and assistant musician, Harikrishna made his debut as an independent composer in actor Darshan's first production venture Jothe Jotheyali in 2006. Since then, he has been scoring for majority of Darshan's films besides working for many other leading production houses. He owns an audio company called "D-Beats" established in 2013 and produces music under his own company starting from the film Bulbul (2013). He has turned into a director with the 2019 Kannada film 'Yajamana'.

Kariya 2003 Indian Kannada-language gangster film directed by Prem, in his directoral debut, and produced by Anekal Balaraju under Santhosh Enterprises. The film stars Darshan in titular role, alongside Abinayasri, Mico Nagaraj, Umesh Punga, Nanda Kishore, Dashavara, Chandru, Nandesh and B. Jayashree. The music was composed by Gurukiran, while cinematography and editing were handled by M. R. Seenu and Srinivas P. Babu. The film was commercially successful.

The Dr. Vishnuvardhan Award, instituted in 2011 for the 2008–09 Karnataka State Film Awards is an award given by the government of Karnataka to long-serving film personalities in Kannada cinema. The award previously called Lifetime Contribution to Kannada Cinema Award, was named Dr. Vishnuvardhan Award in honour of Vishnuvardhan, one of Kannada cinema's actors, after his demise in 2009. The award carries a purse of 200,000 and a gold-plated plaque.

Kaviraj is an Indian lyricist, writer and film director. He is best known for writing lyrics for Kannada films since his debut in 2003 for the film Kariya. He has written lyrics for over 2000 feature film songs for more than 1000 movies and has won many awards including Filmfare Awards South twice and Mirchi music best lyrics writer award 2009,2011,2013, 2015. and 2019 He is considered one of the top lyricists of Kannada cinema in the present times.

Ambareesha is a 2014 Indian Kannada-language masala film directed and produced by Mahesh Sukhadhare under the Sri Sukhadhare Pictures banner. The film stars Darshan, Rachita Ram, Priyamani and Dr. Ambareesh. The soundtrack and score is composed by V. Harikrishna and the cinematography is by Ramesh Babu.

<i>Namma Preethiya Ramu</i> 2003 Indian film

Namma Preethiya Ramu is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed by Sanjay-Vijay duo. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum (1999). It stars Darshan playing the eponymous character of a blind village singer, along with Navya Natarajan, Hamsavijetha, Doddanna and Umashree in other prominent roles. The film score and soundtrack were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

Suraj Gowda is an actor in the Kannada film industry who made his big commercial debut in MaduveyaMamatheya Kareyole under Thoogudeepa productions which bagged the biggest opening collection for a debutant in 2016. Suraj was nominated for the best actor category in SIIMA and IIFA Awards for his role in the movie Siliconn City (2017). Lakshmi Thanaya and Ninna Sanihake are his upcoming films.

Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film written directed by Kaviraj in his directorial debut. It stars Suraj Gowda and Amulya in the lead roles whilst Anant Nag and Achyuth Kumar feature in supporting roles. The plot revolves around the families of the two friends who, intending to convert their friendship into a relationship, are elated when their children fall in love with each other and eventually marry upon encountering certain familial disputes.

Jaggu Dada is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language masala film directed and produced by Raghavendra Hegde. It stars Darshan as the lead protagonist and actress and model Deeksha Seth as the female lead. Rachita Ram make guest appearances. It was released on 10 June 2016 across Karnataka.

Chakravarthy (transl. Emperor) is a 2017 Indian Kannada-language action crime film directed by Chintan A V, a former screenwriter, making his debut. The film stars Darshan and Deepa Sannidhi besides Kumar Bangarappa, Aditya and Srujan Lokesh playing key supporting roles. The film's score and soundtrack is composed by Arjun Janya whilst the cinematography is by Chandrashekar K S and editing by K. M. Prakash.

<i>Tarak</i> (film) 2017 film directed by Prakash

Tarak is a 2017 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by Prakash and produced by Dushyanth. The film features Darshan, Sruthi Hariharan and Shanvi Srivastava in the lead roles. Devaraj, Kuri Prathap and Sumithra feature in important supporting roles. While the soundtrack and background score is by Arjun Janya, the cinematography is by A. V. Krishna Kumar. The first look of the film was released on 30 March 2017. and the film was released on 29 September 2017.

<i>Kurukshetra</i> (2019 film) 2019 film directed by Naganna

Kurukshetra is a 2019 Kannada-language mythological war film written by J. K. Bharavi and directed by Naganna. The story is based on the epic poem Gadhayuddha by Ranna, which itself is based on the Indian epic Mahabharata. The story is centred on Duryodhana, the Kaurava king. The film was produced by Munirathna.

Mandeep Roy was an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. Some of his films as an actor included Aakasmika (1993),...Re (2016), Aaptha Rakshaka (2010), Amrithadhare (2005), Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu (2001).
