Dedeh Erawati (born May 25, 1979 in Sumedang) is an Indonesian sprint hurdler. [3] She is a four-time medalist and two-time defending champion at the SEA Games. She won the bronze medal at the 2009 Asian Athletics Championships in Guangzhou, China, with a time of 13.32 seconds, finishing behind Japan's Asuka Terada and China's Sun Yawei, who claimed the gold in the hurdles. [4] She also set both her personal best and national record of 13.18 seconds at the 2012 Taiwan Open in Taipei, Taiwan. [5]

Erawati represented Indonesia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's 100 m hurdles. She ran in the fifth and final heat against seven other athletes, including Jamaica's Brigitte Foster-Hylton, and Dawn Harper of the United States, who later dominated this event by winning an Olympic gold medal. She finished the heat in seventh place by twenty-four hundredths of a second (0.24) behind Haiti's Nadine Faustin, with a slowest possible time of 13.49 seconds. Erawati, however, failed to advance into the semi-finals, as she placed thirty-fourth overall, and ranked below two mandatory slots for the next round. [6]

Egypt competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012, sending one of its largest delegations ever. A total of 110 Egyptian athletes participated in 83 events across 20 sports, with more women taking part than ever before. Adzo Rebecca Kpossi is a Togolese swimmer who specialises in butterfly and freestyle. Kpossi competed in both the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. At both of her Olympics, she competed in the 50 metre freestyle. She has also competed in two World Championships, a World Short Course Championship and an African Games.

Fadwa Al-Bouza is a former female Syrian heptathlete and hurdler. She represented Syria at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed in the women's 100 m hurdles. Al-Bouza ran in the second heat, where she finished in eighth place with a time of 14.24 seconds, and subsequently, did not advance into the later rounds.

Nieh Pin-chieh is a Taiwanese swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. She represented the Chinese Taipei national team in two editions of the Olympic Games, competing in a sprint freestyle double.

Danil Bugakov is an Uzbek former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke, freestyle and individual medley events. He won two medals for the 50 m backstroke at the Asian Swimming Championships. He is also the brother of freestyle swimmer and three-time Olympian Mariya Bugakova.

Sayaka Aoki is a Japanese track and field sprinter and hurdler, who specializes in the 400 metres sprint and 400 metres hurdles. She competed for her country as part of the Japanese women's 4 × 400 metres relay team at the Summer Olympics in 2008 and the World Championships in Athletics three times. She has been a four-time medallist in the relay at the Asian Athletics Championships, including a gold medal in 2011. She won her first major international medal in the hurdles – a bronze – at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships.

Edit Vári is a Hungarian sprint hurdler. At age thirty-three, Vari made her official debut for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in the women's 100 m hurdles. Kia Davis is a Liberian-American sprinter. She is a multiple-time national record holder in the sprint and hurdles, a three-time USA Track & Field national indoor finalist for the 60 m hurdles, and holds a dual citizenship for Liberia and the United States in order to compete internationally for her categories. She also won the silver medal, as a member of the U.S. team, in the women's 4 × 400 m relay at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Moscow, Russia.

Aleesha Barber is a Trinidadian sprint hurdler. She is a 2007 NCAA All-American honoree, a six-time Big Ten Conference champion, and a seven-time collegiate record holder. She set a personal best time of 12.85 seconds at the 2010 NCAA Eastern First Round Championships on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Barber also won a gold medal for the 100 m hurdles at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, clocking at 13.09 seconds.

Sabina Veit is a Slovenian sprinter. She set a personal best and an Olympic A-standard time of 22.74 seconds, by winning the 200 metres at the Slovenian Open Athletics Championships, coincidentally in her home city. She also won a bronze medal in the same distance at the 2009 Summer Universiade in Belgrade, finishing her time at 23.34 seconds.

Miriam Bobková-Cupáková is a retired Slovak sprint hurdler. At the 2007 IAAF World Championships in Osaka, Japan, Bobková set both a national record and a personal best time of 13.04 seconds, by finishing seventh in the preliminary heats of the women's 100 hurdles.
