Deer Park Town Center is an upscale lifestyle center in the northwest Chicago suburb of Deer Park, Illinois, situated at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 12 (Rand Road) and Long Grove Road, just north of Lake Cook Road. It opened on October 27, 2000, and is a one-level, open air lifestyle shopping center. [1]

The shopping center consists of over 70 retailers and restaurants, spread across 407,293 square feet (37,838 m2) and generates considerable traffic from throughout the northwest suburbs, primarily in the Barrington, Lake Zurich, Long Grove, Palatine, Kildeer and Buffalo Grove communities, and from farther places as well. The Golden Corridor is the area around the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway, formerly known as the Northwest Tollway, in the Chicago metropolitan area. Its name refers to the "gold" mine of economic profit for communities in the area. Several Fortune 500 company headquarters, office parks, industrial parks, exhibition and entertainment centers, medical facilities, hotels, shopping centers, and restaurants are in the Golden Corridor. With the exception of the O'Hare area of Chicago, all the communities in this region are part of a larger region known as the "Northwest Suburbs".

Lake Cook Road is a major east–west highway in Cook, Lake, McHenry, and Kane Counties in Illinois. For much of its length, it marks the border between Cook and Lake Counties, hence the name of the road. In its western stretch, it marks the border between McHenry and Cook Counties, and further west, McHenry and Kane Counties. The road is approximately 25.5 miles (41.0 km) in length, from its western terminus at Illinois Route 62 in Algonquin to its eastern terminus at Sheridan Road in Highland Park and Glencoe, near Lake Michigan. The road is notable for its cross-section of Chicago's northern suburbs, balancing densely developed commercial, industrial, and residential land uses, with open space areas such as forest preserves, parks, golf courses, creeks, rivers, gardens, and Lake Michigan.

The Grove at Shrewsbury is an upscale lifestyle center located on Route 35 in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, 1 mile (1.6 km) south of downtown Red Bank. The center opened in 1988 and has a gross leasable area of 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m2). A lifestyle center is a shopping center or mixed-used commercial development that combines the traditional retail functions of a shopping mall but with leisure amenities oriented towards upscale consumers. The Grove at Shrewsbury was developed and is managed by Metrovation.

The Quentin Collection is a moderate sized lifestyle center/shopping plaza located in Kildeer, Illinois. It is located directly across from Deer Park Town Center, but both are located in different towns. The center, which opened in Fall 2005, is home to a mix of big-box retailers, and upscale retailers.
